I went back into therapy at the beginning of the pandemic due to overwhelming fear - which I'd thought I'd handled through prior therapy with other providers. However, with the emergence of COVID, the fear re-emerged in full force, to a near-paralyzing degree. Lona provided such kindness, encouraging feedback, and usable techniques that I was able to separate a bit from the irrational beliefs and live more fully in the moment right beside them. I also joined a DBT group as well as attended weekly individual therapy, and the skills I learned in both places and practiced throughout the weeks helped to trigger a part of the brain that is more rational and productive. These skill sets in both therapies - for a course of about two years - revolutionized my life. I had been in and out of therapy for many years, but through this practice began to see where the old, deep-seated fear lived, was able to challenge and overcome it more thoroughly than ever before.DBT has many skills to teach that allows one to live successfully with opposites, such as fear and the walking through it. Many therapies talk of doing the same kind of work, but I found Lona brought an art to her practice that let me feel safe enough to move forward and reclaim my life. Through her gentle support, I was able to go back to school online during the pandemic and complete six courses that allowed me to finally realize a dream that I had put off for 35 years: that of becoming a licensed mental health counselor, which as of last month, I now am.As you can see, I have nothing but the highest regard for this practice. It saved my emotional life and gave me a new life.Lisa D.

A very friendly and understanding therapy center. It felt very good to be validated and have someone to walk through my issues. The therapists here are passionate about their work and really care about their patients.

Lona is incredibly approachable, knowledgeable and very skilled.  I went to her for a trauma-related issue and, using EMDR, symptoms of the trauma began to dissipate immediately and after only a few sessions, the anxiety I was feeling went from an 8 to a 0 on a 10-point scale.  I have never been interested in ongoing talk therapy and this was exactly what I needed and my experience greatly exceeded expectations.  Highly recommend.
