image The first thing I will say is that the staff here are always pleasant and super friendly. I have been coming here for over 2 years because I live in the area and I love to Thrift. The recent hike in prices has been insanity. I know inflation is nuts and they say they need to pay their staff living wages but come on upcharging for a pair of damaged NIke's because they have a Nike logo on them is ridiculous. They have a TON of No frill's brands Walmart, TJ Max ext, it's very rare I find anything close to name brand labels which is why the price hike is so aggrivating. I LOVE the Hazlet location and the prices there are always fair. I only come here because of how close it is to me but my advice would be to drive a little further and check out the location at Hazlet. They always have high end brands in clothing shoes & bags, collectible glasswares and mugs and the prices are reasonable. I never walk out of there without a full bag of goodies. Staff there is also super friendly. Hope this helps out a fellow Thrifter!

image This store prices items above market value.
I had an instance were an item was priced $9.99 for weeks and as soon as the 50% off sticker for that item was available I was told it was priced wrong and they would not honor the pricing.
Now corporate has decided to drop the 50% off colored ticket to 40% off.
They get their merchandise for free, yet the CEO makes a $2.3million salary off that free merchandise. Then they have the balls to ask to round to the nearest dollar when purchasing. Trying to figure who benefits here, people in need or the CEO. I will no longer donate to good will.
Edited: Still garbage. Used items priced like new. Sticker price tags ruin the product must be the glue.

Business Response on Google Sep 15th, 2019
As you're likely aware, the minimum wage in New York and New Jersey has gone up by over 20%. Being a non-profit organization who believes every working person should earn a fair living, we are in full support of this escalation. The increase, however, has a direct impact on our stores; for example our 900+ store staff received a pay raise aligned to the new wage standards set. In order to continue running a model that supports employment opportunities for ALL, some of those increases have had to be absorbed in the prices. In an effort to offset increases, we have also made efforts to take prices down in certain categories, where possible. We know that sustainable fashion and great finds are still available here. Finally, the reference to a $2.3 million CEO salary is based on a phony rumor about Goodwill nationally that has been making the rounds for years. You can check on Snopes.com to see it discredited. Goodwill is a network of independent community-based nonprofit organizations, of which we are one, and nobody's salary here is remotely close to that.
