I took my one year old and waited for over 2 hrs in the room for a resident to come and check her ears, and still then she couldnt take a good look and said she will have another provider to look and made us wait almost three hrs. Did not get resolved and left. Thats not an urgent care for sure. Very slow and terrible system.

Usually an excellent experience at this facility. Theyve added a triage nurse who needs to go back to Nursing 101 and realize unstable vital signs. 3 yr. old came in fever 102.2, rash on trunk, horrific cough, heart rate 172, respirations 60, oxygen level 90%., then vomiting in wait room. Told go wait another hour in wait room. Told triage nurse shes unstable needs seen sooner at this point. Sent me to a room for hour and 15 minutes where child pukes 3 more times. No staff around to get towels, change clothes. Finally Dr. comes in and he was excellent. Basically examined her one minute and very concerned her appearance. Called the ER to alert them she was coming. ER real triage nurse got her into a room immediately and a Dr immediately. She had pneumonia and received IV antibiotics, fluid bolus for dehydration, Motrin, Tylenol immediately. The triage nurse is a waste of time at Village Point and actually hinders being soon quicker. ER staff was shocked my 3 yr old sat for hours no offer of Tylenol, heart rate high and puking no staff checking on her. Even if Urgent Care doesnt triage, your nurse needs to know critical sick kids are seen before a child skipping, eating chips in wait room just because they were there before them. Update: Returned here one month after previous review. I was able to now schedule an appt. before arrival and was checked in immediately and seen immediately. Child had very labored breathing and received excellent care from the staff. Making an appt. and not using their triage nurse made things go much quicker!! No more going to triage room, then back to waiting room, then back again to a room with a sick child to be seen by the Dr.
