        Not a good experience. Too expensive for the type of car I was given.

        I rented a car from Avis for 9 days. The total amount was near $2000. When I returned the car at 11:00am they charged me a 1 hour late fee on top the day rate (24hrs), which I payed in full. The one hour late fee was around $230. Cost of rental for the full day was $304. I payed $535 for half a day rental. This seems dishonest. Also the key fob broke on the second day of the trip. I was in the middle of nowhere and had to track down the appropriate battery to unlock the car without setting off the alarm. Seems minor but it was an inconvenience. I expect more given the cost. Id think twice before renting with Avis.
