I was very impressed with the service I got here. We had an unexpected surprise on our trip - 2 abandoned puppies that needed care! The manager, Jacob, personally returned my call and was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to help us deal with the situation. Next time we are in town we will be booking at the Marriott St. Louis Grand!

Absolutely terrible, would not stay again. We booked on points. Points were outrageous due to multiple conferences in town and opening week. Nothing to be done about that. But we showed up and I already had an alert saying our room was ready. Went to check in and they told us our room was still getting the carpets cleaned so they would give us a new room. We went to the new room and it was a double. We requested a king. So we came back down and said we selected a king. They said we didnt, but they could do it but it would have to be an accessible room. Also note that the concierge lounge is not open on Saturdays. So we were given a card for complimentary breakfast. We get down there and wait ten minutes to be seated. Which was okay. But then we waited 30 minutes to get water. We tried waving workers down and they ignored us. I even asked the hostess where we could get drinks and she said the waitress would bring them. She got drinks for everyone as they were seated except us and it was near impossible to get her attention to get water. The only drinks out were milk, and my husband said the milk was warm. Then, when we went to leave I mentioned that we had a terrible experience with it and the guy there said that workers called out and the managers were working. I told him thats fine and all, and I understand slower service, but waiting 30 minutes for water is unacceptable when staff were walking directly past us and ignoring us trying to request water. He said oh and turned around. No apology. No have a nice day. Just straight up turned around and ignored my concern. I am a platinum member as well, for reference. We will never come back there.

After self-parking and check-in, we entered the elevator to a strong smell of Marijuana. We then exited the elevator, and upon opening the room door there was a very strong oder of cannibas. Toiletries and towels were missing, such as somebody had already been using the room. The front desk receptionist did switch our room. The new room was in excellent condition, complete with all the normal supplies. Early in the morning on check-out day, the emergency alarm sounded. The alarm demanded evacuation of guests via the steps instead of the elevator. We desended down 18 flights of stairs with all of our luggage to the emergency exit. Multiple fire engines were responding to the building. We checked out quickly and left. Safety: The concierge advised against walking in the neighborhood at night for our safety.
