image Upgraded rooms did not provide an upgraded experience. Booked the 21C King Suite and there were a lot of details overlooked. Ice machine was broke, missing spoons and forks, there was a full load of dishes in the dishwasher unclear if they were clean or dirty, the swing chair was broken unattached from the floor and missing pillows. Theres a fireplace but no instructions on how to operate it. The valet guy was overly rude on Easter. Ran up to the room to drop a few bags off and let the gentlemen know we would be right back down. The guy barked that he would have to put our car in the lot and we would have to request it. I tried reasoning with him that I already expressed I would need the vehicle so it would be best to not formally park the vehicle. I digitally requested the vehicle upon getting to the room at 1042. Went right back downstairs as I advised I would be doing. Had to wait 45 min for the vehicle. The guy refused to look us in the face knowing we already requested the vehicle. Other folks in line didnt request their car and he essentially continued to skip our request and serve other guests. He even asked who requested their car already no one in line but us raised our hands, he still continued to serve other guests before us. The valet for the price point was the worst experience Ive had to date.

image We visited as a family of 4 from Chicago for 3 nights. We loved this hotel. Beautifully done, very clean, and so much fun for the kids (ages 14 and 8) . We all loved the pool, hot tub, sparkling water on tap, chocolates on our bedside tables, shuffleboard, pool table, cartoons playing in the morning by the pool table. We had a long list of things to do in St. Louis, and we only did half of them, because our family wanted to spend a few hours enjoying the hotel each day. GoodPress - the coffee shop -- had a great breakfast and coffee menu. We ate there 2 of our 3 mornings. We also loved that there were water bottle fillers on each floor. The front desk and valet were both helpful. Valet seems like the only choice for parking, but we felt our car was safe and it was always returned to us quickly. We were able to walk to the City Museum and Busch Stadium, but there really isn't anything else you can walk to. Be prepared to use your car when you want to leave the hotel. We left very happy with our Spring Break stay and hope to return!
