Canvas Townhomes Columbia

I currently live here and its nice for the most part. I enjoy the space and the price they offer. That really is not beatable in columbia. The units are not thermally sound so they struggle a bit on hotter and colder days. My main complaint is that on multiple occasions they have marked my maintenance requests as completed without fixing anything or even contacting me. They will fix it after the second or third request, but overall this just shows a lack of respect for their residents.

Scammers, move out cost related to nothing, mismanaged billing, an obvious move out scam to take advantage of college kids. Stay away from these people they arent worth the gum on your shoe.

NEVER LIVE HERE! While Canvas Townhomes gave me a place to live while I was a Mizzou student, they totally conned my brother and I when it came time to move out. They charged fees against us that had nothing to do with the spotlessly clean unit we returned to them. Not to mention, I was charged for the furniture in my personal room when I did not ever receive a nightstand and dresser for my unit. Countless work orders were sent in during my time at Canvas to receive these pieces of furniture my signed lease said I would obtain, but I had to live two years without these basic means because they simply did not want to supply them. Also, in a townhome with three occupants, I was the only one who was charged for communal space "repairs"whilemy roommates did not have any of theseassociated charges on their bills. As a unit, we do not feel these charges were warranted because the unit was returned in better condition than how we received it on move-in. Additionally, we were also never able to address any problems with the Canvas Townhomes Office or with any higher administration inattempt to reach an agreement together because they did notreturn a singlephone callor emailafter we received our move-out statements. Without hesitation, Canvas referred us to collections, proving that they genuinely don't care about their college-age inhabitants and that the company is full of shady characters looking to take advantage of people. The five-star evaluations that surface for this business are incentives forcurrent residents to win giveaways; they don't really convey how they truly feel about the business.

There are homeless people with better care given to them than how the admins here handle the housing of college kids. Lovely $1000 charges for carpet when the carpet is already piss stained prior to move in. Although that piss stain really just resembles the company that runs these rentals. Keep your child and your familys money out of these peoples pockets because the first chance they get to send you an extra $1200 bill they will jump at it, with zero ability to speak about the charges. Especially when there is photo evidence to disprove the reasoning for the move out charges. SCAM and i cant say it loud enough. Infact they have gone on to state that move in paperwork has magically disappeared from their offices and cannot help you in any way. SCAM
