For some reason 99% of the reviews of this complex are fake (talking about how great the staff is, the great cheesy activities that none of the residents ever even use, etc) so if youre reading this know that this is real and Im not one of those reviewers.
I stayed here in 2017 when they first opened it and theres pretty much only 1 reason youd live here, but its so great that it earns a 5 star from me:
The view. Which goes hand-in-hand with its location. Its incredible. And your friends will think its incredible. They will want to visit. A lot. Its also so incredible that Im reminiscing about it 6 years later.
The attached images show various types of views that my apartment on the 8th floor had at different times. Seeing Jesse Hal get covered in a snowstorm from so high up, I will never forget.
There was a church directly to the south of the complex that was rather tall, so I think the 8th floor was possibly the first floor that could see over it towards campus, like mine did. Possibly 7, but not sure. But 8th floor on up at the minimum was absolutely incredible.
I had my computer setup overlooking this view. And to this day, I still wish I could go back. To be able to walk to Boochs and bring it back again lol.
With that being said I dont know if Id recommend the place if youre not on an higher up floor. Expensive, small rooms. Loud people.
But the view? 100% worth your money if you can get it. It takes you away

The BEST place to live in Columbia. I lived here as a fifth year senior and I was sad to have to leave after I graduated. The absolute BEST and friendly staff that are quick to answer maintenance calls and are always attentive to the residents. Consistently clean, updated, and most importantly SAFE! Theres a security guard here on some week and weekend nights and its definitely something I didnt have anywhere else living in Downtown Columbia. The past reviews were given when the Rise was owned by Mizzou, but seriously could not recommend this place more and its management. Also the views are spectacular. Rates anywhere Downtown are not cheap, but this place is worth every penny and you cant put a price on feeling safe and appreciated as a resident.

With any place you live there good things and bad things my biggest issue is the gym isn't as great as I originally mainly do to my height I am unable to use a lot of the equipment properly. The staff however make up for any short coming I may have found by helping me deal with issues quickly as well as being super friendly and genuine.
