Fortunately or unfortunately I didn't have much time in my room. The room was excellent, very clean and well presented. I feel I missed out on so much that the room and hotel had to offer. Perhaps a longer stay next time to enjoy it all is in order. We did find the people in our party weren't all charged the same in terms of rate and taxes (federal tax exempt). I travel for work stayed here a while. Best hotel I have stayed in Detroit lakes and in general. Beautiful location. Clean. Quiet. There's 2 great restaurants/ pubs in the same parking lot for eat n drink. The lake is across the street. There's a beautiful park. This is a convenient location. The lady at front desk with red hair should get a raise. Usually when I'm at a hotel coming in late night There's no one around to help me and if there is I get horrible service late night. Lady with red hair late night friendly and she's there at the desk everytime I came in all hours of the night. Great service. I will recommend this hotel to my coworkers and anyone else. The price is great doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Walkability: You can walk to beautiful Pavillion park, lake, and 2 restaurants pubs within 1 minutes. Food & drinks: Next to 2 places to eat and drink same parking lot
