First off the room furniture needs a facelift. Both pieces of furniture had holes in them. However, I will say the bathrooms were clean which is a must! I just didn't use the chair or couch just preferred to sit on the bed while in the room. Breakfast is advertised as American which by definition means there should be some type of eggs and meat. As you can see there was neither. In fact sadly no protein option. I think they need to change their marketing and signage to Continental since that was what they truly offered. There are lots of hotel options in Detroit Lakes so I'll probably check-out a diffetent option when I return next month.

It's an AmericInn that's seen better days. It's time for a facelift or even just some upkeep. Our King room was spacious with a pull out couch. The king bed was wore out so uncomfortable. The smoke detector was pulled off the wall but they did remedy that by putting a plug in carbon monoxide detector in an outlet in the room. The bathroom was tiny and our toilet was not bolted down to the floor. It was fine for a one night stay.

Good location. Rooms desperately need to be updated. No elevators. No automatic doors. Walls are thin.

I am the unit commander of the youth program Young Marines. We spent the night last night at your hotel. Wow. We had a wonderful time. Great pool and breakfast and the customer service was amazing. Kudos to Connor! Our youth and adult volunteers were very impressed with the staff and Connor's customer service. We will be back! Thank you! Noteworthy details: Great customer service. The youth enjoyed the pool and breakfast!!
