PNC Mortgage

I walked in to open an account but was refused service; teller said I would need to return two days later for an appointment. I was the only customer in the bank at the time.

While having a downtown location is convenient, the service is anything but that. Employees are not friendly or ever helpful, Im better off driving out of my way to the Alpine branch.

While I have had a great experience with PNC with my checking account, PNC falls more than short for prospective homeowners looking to obtain a mortgage. I strongly recommend that anyone looking to refinance or obtain their first mortgage look elsewhere. I have banked with PNC for roughly 10 years and there is a reason for that. Those ~10 years have been a great experience, however the past 5 months are making me reconsider the competency of this bank. I have had to hold their hand through this process, both while closing the loan and managing my escrow account. 5 stars for banking. 1 for mortgaging. We'll call it 3 overall.

Charged me multiple times (over $140 / day) a day for overdraft fees. They were good until you slip up or dont check your account but will punish you when you do.
