I received a promotion to open up a bank account and receive $200, i opened up the account and had them send my debit card to a different address, somehow that locked my account up and it's been nothing but issues after. I highly suggest a different bank despite that promotion. Now i know why they need to offer people money in order to get their business. I informed them i will be closing my account today. STAY AWAY

Tom was very proactive when PPP was authorized by Congress and helpful getting the loan approved. He was equally proactive when it came time to apply for forgiveness.

I have been a customer of this branch since the old Society Bank days. The current team is fantastic. They have helped me with personal and business banking issues with very satisfactory results. It is a pleasure to have an attentive and professional team handling my finances.

The new manager is very shady. I won’t be doing business with him. He does not seem like he knows how to do his job, and he does not listen when he is trying to shove things down your throat.

No accountability with this company. I got a mortgage through them in March. Because their mortgage officer, Marc Jones, didnt properly review loan paperwork, the process was delayed by more than 30 days. I work for a local small business, and some of the income verification that was provided on the initial application was not filled out properly by my boss. That information was not reviewed by Marc, or his processor to make sure it was what they requested. Key bank denied the application because they couldnt verify my income. I didnt find out about the denial through key bank. I found out from my realtor because he was notified by the title company a week before we were initially scheduled to close. It took 3 days of trying to reach Marc before he reached out to me to explain the situation. Knowing that I was a strong borrower that exceeded the requirements to qualify for the loan, i told him that I would try to salvage the deal on the house and seek help elsewhere for a mortgage. Marc begged me not to go elsewhere and said they were going to create a new loan application omitting the erronious income verification and that the process should only take 7-10 days to complete. Since my purchase contract expired in 7 days, I chose to continue the process with Key, based on Marc's promise of the timeframe. I called and emailed the branch manager, Will Genna and their regional manager, Tara Bunn requesting a new loan officer and an explanation for why I wasnt told about the denial when it had apparently been over a week by the time I was notified by the title company. Eventually, the loan did get approved but the second loan application took an additional 30 days to process and close. In total throughout this process, starting in late december 2018, to closing march 4th 2019, I sent over 5 separate emails to will and Tara and left several voice messages in addition to calling Key Bank's customer service hotline to complain about all parties involved. Now, almost 3 months after the fact, I still have not received so much as an email from anyone representing Key Bank management. All that happened was my emailed complaints were apparently forwarded to Marc Jones directly, to which he acknowledged receipt of the complaints and said, "thats fine." No apology or accountability from Marc. Throughout the process he was dodgy, hard to get ahold of, and downright dishonest. He refused to accept any responsibility for delays. Whenever we would speak he would place blame on literally every other person involved with the application process. Due to him not reviewing loan documents, I had to deal with disputes with the seller on top of massive amounts of time away from work re-sending documents multiple times. Calling, texting, and emailing and sometimes not receiving follow ups for days at a time. All in all, my singular goal at this time is to refinance my mortgage as soon as financially possible and never deal with Key Bank in any capacity as long as I live.
