One India Street Apartments

I have lived at One India Street Apartments for nearly 4 years and have been very happy with the property. The common areas are spotless, the package delivery system works very well, and the few minor repair issues I have experienced in my apartment have been addressed immediately and effectively. The staff are great and very friendly, especially Jose N from maintenance who is professional and efficient, as well as Peter U. who staffs the concierge area. I have also appreciated the response from the management office when I have had questions about my lease, etc.

I have been living at One India for three years and I second everything that LD shared... this place is falling apart! There are constant issues with the concierge coverage which frequently leads to no concierge at all for entire days, packages piling up or going missing (so many reports of open or stolen packages!), package room left open and unattended, front doors also left open with random people walking in looking for a bathroom... I even reported a break in attempt!! And yes, I too got locked out of the building at night because the entry system wasn't working!! Security issues, pipe burst in the middle of the night with fire alarms going on for the entire night (!!), elevators not working, building shaking because of faulty cooling units on the roof, windows disgustingly dirty (although finally washed last weekend) are some of the most recent top concerns. In the midst of all this, the business office is totally MIA... good luck trying to speak with someone - it is impossible!! Mike, the General Manger, can be reached only via email - he does respond to emails though, at least that. There are only two reasons that keep me here (and why three stars instead of one): 1) Location; and 2) The maintenance team, specifically JOSE'. Jos is a gem!! He is extremely competent and he gets the job done in a timely fashion. He is very responsive, polite, and constantly goes above and beyond to resolve all sorts of maintenance issues. Jos literally saves the day for us residents. If I could, I would give Jos 10 stars for his exceptional performance and care.

4 minutes before my scheduled tour, they sent me an email to cancel it because "we are short staffed for consultants today."

We've only been living in the building a short time, but the location is great and the staff members are very friendly. We are grateful to have someone as responsive as Jose to help us with all of our maintenance needs.
