Torrington Properties

Moved into a recently renovated apartment in South Boston owned by Torrington. We looked at a lot of apartments in the area and this one was BY FAR the cleanest and most updated apartment. Their standard is clearly higher than other landlords in the area, so thank you Torrington!

Clean apartment and attentive staff - we have a new property manager as of last year and the change has been very positive. If we have had an issue the problem has been resolved quickly and the maintenance team has been helpful and efficient.

Happy with our experience with Torrington so far. They seem to have new staff members that are doing a great job of being attentive and resolve issues. When we first moved in the property manager seemed to be a little spacey but with their new employees they've made a concerted effort to resolve any outstanding issues!

Property was recently renovated and looks pristine. Property managers have made the process easy and have been responsive to any questions/feedback.

If you want your tenant rights violated Torrington Properties is the company to rent from! After my landlord sold my building in the middle of my lease I had the misfortune of living under this management company for about 2 months and it was one of the worst rental experiences of my life. I went over a week and a half without a working light in my bathroom while management insisted that they had fixed it. While doing renovations upstairs they negligently burst a pipe, causing a leak of rusty water to damage all my clothes in my closet. After agreeing to pay for my dry cleaning, management took months to reimburse me. I can only imagine how much worse my living situation would have ben had I had to stay there longer. Based on reviews, I am not the only one with a terrible experience with this management company. The one positive thing they gave me was the ability to end my lease early and refunding my last month of rent (even though getting the refund turned out to be a different hell in itself).
