The heater is not working and temperature is 67. Called the emergency maintenance and a guy come over after 1hr, just checking around and left with no solution. Also bad attitude. The temperature is decreasing slowly rn and have no idea how long it could be fixed. I AM FREEZING NOW.

Overall this building is a great place to live. I have lived here for a few years and have really enjoyed my time here. Pros: - the management and facility team are excellent. Management is very responsive, and (most) complaints are very quickly addressed. I mentioned that my window screens had gotten very dirty over the winter and they were cleaned the next day. I had a leak in one of my pipes in the kitchen and it was fixed the same day. The common areas (hallways, laundry room, entry of building) are always spotless and very well kept - the building is a 1 minute walk to a very large star market and a 3 minute walk to the green line (goes straight to downtown). It is also very close by to many stores (like CVS) and good places to grab food - there is laundry in the basement, along with a garbage room, a common area room, a package room, bike storage, and storage units - there is a parking lot (uncovered) that is cheap to park in - there is plenty of on street parking right in front of the building for guests and visitors - the building is secure, and all residents have a fob that lets them in the main doors. Also, guests can call your unit from the front door using the system the building has, and you can unlock the front door for them from inside your apartment on a key pad - the inside of the units are spacious and updated - the units facing the baseball field have a pretty decent view that has some greenery Cons - rent has increased (pretty significantly) every year I've lived here. The price is starting to climb closer to buildings that have more amenities like a gym, a concierge, etc. - the building doesn't have great sound proofing. I can hear when my neighbors use their bathrooms. I can hear every door that opens and shuts in the hallway I live in. I also live facing Malvern street (the baseball field side) and I can hear every word of every conversation that takes place on the sidewalk. This can become a problem during the school year, because the building is close to BU dorms and often students walk back from bars late at night on this street and cause a lot of noise. - Although the laundry in the basement is very convenient, it's expensive and the washers and dryers don't do a great job. Sometimes I have to run the washer twice just to make sure my clothes are clean. Even then, I've gotten into the habit of waiting until I visit a friend or relative that has laundry in their unit and just do it there to ensure that my clothes are clean - Theft here can be an issue, and it's the one problem management has not been very helpful with. I've had multiple packages stolen out of the package room, which has cameras in it, and management simply told me to call the police when I reported the theft (instead of them offering to take the time to check the cameras they have). Also, the package room is in the basement, and the service that's delivering packages to the building needs a fob to get in. Many delivery services either have a fob, and don't bother using it, or don't have one. This leads to most packages being left in the unsecured entryway of the building. I've had packages stolen out of this area and I always feel I need to try and rush home when I get a package delivered; something that shouldn't be an issue with a building that has a package room in the first place
