It really is a nice place to live, we have made so many friends and not just in our building.The staff is great, the only issues are for the money we pay upgrades are needed. We have a lot of elderly and people with a handicap and there are no accessible way for us to use
the pool. They need to install a set of staires, a better and bigger park for the children and a dog park...

There's always going to be something living in an apartment that you have to accept, such as hearing your neighbors through the walls. But here's why I would only rent at Fairway Vista if I still lived in Frederick:
1. Location cannot be beat. It's next to a golf course and on the other side are woods along the Monocacy River, so it's QUIET and I felt safe as a female living alone. Across the street there is a lot of streets to walk/run on, as well as a path going along the river. Sometimes I'd just walk 15 minutes to the river and sit there for solitude. I loved having a place to walk where there weren't a lot of people, too. And it's just 10 min away from downtown and there's a Royal Farms down the street for some late night snacks.
2. Parking situation. A review from 2002 mentioned the complex blocking off parking, and he was accurate in saying you were screwed after 8pm. BUT someone from management listened to the complaints and removed the barriers after a couple weeks, so there was always plenty of parking near my residence even getting home at 2am. Parking is never an issue for guests either - no unfair towing and always plenty of space.
3. Having a responsive and friendly maintenance staff is huge. They were always responsive and quick to fix my problem, and quite friendly.
If I had to give a negative, I didn't like the bugs that got into my apartment, but I was also on the first floor, so it's kind of expected. I ended up getting my own pest control for really cheap just once a year and it seemed to solve that issue.
