The hotel had everything you needed for a relaxing holiday and was very stylishly furnished. We booked 2 nights because we really liked it. The service was very accommodating. If New Orleans, then I would like to go back to that hotel, Rooms: Was beautifully furnished down to the last detail Nearby activities: Bourbon street, Mississippi river, French market

Don't stay at a big box hotel! Stay here! Unique rooms with all the amenities! Wonderful service! Walkability: Right on the edge of the quarter without all the late noises of the quarter. Great place to stay.

Please Find Updates below! I visit Nola frequently and enjoyed my stay here over St Patrick's Day weekend. Sadly, I can't post a good review because of the service I've received since checkout. I left a few items in the closet. The hotel told me they found my clothing and sent me an email to cover the shipping, which I did. They have yet to ship my clothes, and the front desk keeps giving me the runaround. The clothes were rentals, so now I have to pay for them, and I lost the postage I paid to have them shipped to me. It's all adding up to a lot of money. I'm pretty unhappy that someone decided to run off with my clothing. It's not cool. Changing this to five stars :) I got a hold of the correct person and the hotel resolved the issue! I 100% recommend staying here :)

Neat, 200 year old building furnished with eclectic furniture that was not very comfortable. Convenient to many must see venues but close to a noisy firehouse and lots of street noise. No garage parking. Nearby activities: Bring your walking shoes or enjoy a Lyft ride. French Market, mall, casino, river boats, and restaurants nearby. Walkability: Old sidewalks with lots of uneven blocks and potholes. No benched to stop for a break.

Pros: location! A short walk to the French Market, street cars on Canal Street, Bourbon Street etc. Close enough to the action without most of the noise. We felt safe. Historic building with renovated rooms that try and feel fancy/boutique. Staff was friendly. Cristina a concierge booked and saved us money on a number of local attractions and excursions. Cons: location? The building is relatively narrow and most rooms windows face the alley behind, which is full of dumpsters. Their website acknowledged the noise you should expect being this close to the busy French Quarter, and they offer white noise machines in the rooms. Even using them we were consistently woken throughout the night, garbage collection, sirens, commercial vehicle backup alarms etc. I've stayed in many hotels and many Bluegreen resorts throughout the country. I don't recall any mattress being this firm and uncomfortable. Called down to the front desk around 7 pm to request an extra padded mattress cover or duvet and was told that house keeping was gone for the day and their equipment/room is locked. They did however drop off an extra comforter the next day which made the mattress tolerable. As a renovated old building, I'm sure there are a number of differently laid out floor plans but we felt like the furniture was poorly selected for the space. Tiny couch in the "living area" surrounded by an oversized floor lamp and decorative floor safe. The bedroom had an undersized little dresser/TV stand with two small drawers. The bed had a night stand only on one side. There was a good sized closet plus a second indented wall space that could have had further shelves or a closer clothing rod but had neither. The bathroom was nice however. Our room had a small kitchenette which fit our needs but the hotel lacks much in terms of shared amenities. No lounge with chairs, no pool. The building is split with two separate entrances. Our side has a sun deck on our floor (#7) with a few metal tables and chairs. No padding on the chairs, no umbrellas etc. Unfortunately the wall was mostly too high to see over, so not much of a view. Many people in other rooms like to use the deck for smoking. The other building sun deck on level 4 was somewhat nicer and included a grill, behind machines and an ICE machine. Many of those rooms appeared to be nicer, with their own little balconies or Juliet balconies. Our room was next to the elevator, which was loud through the wall and we got to hear it run almost constantly night and day. We attended a bluegreen sales meeting to "pay" for us to park our vehicle for the week, at their other/newer location, the Marquee. The sales folks were friendly but we were told to expect 2 hours and at 2 hr 45 minutes we had to ask multiple times to leave as we had tickets for a ghost tour that we were otherwise going to be late for. We are thankful for that presentation though as we were able to tour the Marquee. It was far and away nicer than Club La Pension including a rooftop deck with pool. It felt like a resort, this felt like a tiny budget hotel. Previously we stayed on this same block at La Galleria hotel. It was great compared to La Pension. In the future we would definitely return to NOLA but would sacrifice convenience of location within the French Quarter to stay at the Marquee instead.
