Unfortunately, the management has declined at this property. Be careful about any unforeseen changes to your arrival and/or departure dates, as your booked reservation rate(s) will not be honored. You will be up-charged a higher rate even if the circumstances (storm delays, etc) are not under your control. They will do this even if you call ahead and tell them and they will tell you "no problem" then change your rate and not tell you about it. So if you don't like suprises, I suggest you book someplace else. After staying here regularly for many years, we will no longer be returning to a property that is clearly more concerned with money than with the safety and comfort of their travelers. Noteworthy details: Unauthorized rate changes.

Unfortunately, this location is under construction. Hallways are covered in cardboard on the walls and floors. Some hallways are covered in plastic sheeting on the floor. The entry area are walled off with plastic sheeting and there is no comfortable area to sit and talk. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. They are bad enough, I could only sleep for a few hours. I got up and slept in my car. The bathroom is very small. Maybe it will be nice when they are done. I still paid full price since it was booked months in advance. Edit - I've changed my review from only 2 stars down to 1 star after the smoke alarm went off twice. I went to the lobby and overheard a person say it was probably construction on the 3rd floor. They also said that they could wire nut two wires together so the alarm wouldn't go off again. I hope there isn't a real emergency and the smoke detectors aren't working.

My experience here has been hellish. After making a reservation, checking in, unpacking, and taking a minute to rest, I noticed that they were painting just outside my room. The fumes were nauseating, and there was no effort in place to address the fumes like fans or open windows/doors. No one told me this would be happening outside my room, or I could've got out for the day or even found somewhere else to stay for the night. When I asked the hotel about this, they said that they can have me move rooms frequently to be out of their way for construction because they are working on the ENTIRE hotel at the same time as opposed to doing everything on one floor where they keep guests off, and then moving on. They encouraged me to leave and shamed me for having a longer stay with them. I tried to explain that my disabilities prevent me from being able to switch rooms frequently and that I never would've checked in if I knew this was the situation. They can only offer to not upcharge me for staying less time since it's not my choice, but I'm on my own to find a new place, pay the difference in cost, hire a caregiver to help me pack, move, and unpack. I'm out days of my life dealing with this as they send me in circles and have multiple people tell me the same information, expressing that this all seems perfectly okay to expose hotel visitors to hazardous fumes and to force visitors to switch rooms without telling them at check in or when making the reservation. Not to mention that this hotel doesn't provide basics - like there will be a bag for the trash but it won't be in place in the trash can. There's no lotion, tea, paper, pen, or other things you would expect to just be present in a room at this level of hotel.
