      image The rooms are clean and the view on the East side is pretty nice with the bridges lit up at night and the river walk. I was there an entire week for work and the whole time I was there I was greeted with kind words from the staff. The free breakfast in the morning is pretty decent but the "all day" available coffee in the lobby is a bonus.
      Noteworthy details: Free adjacent to the Hotel garage parking with access and exiting via ROOM KEY is a plus, this was convenient for me as I had a work van with ladders on top. There is a 7ft and an 8ft. garage choice right as you swipe into the main garage, this is convenient if you have an SUV with a cargo rack that reaches over 7ft. in height.

      image Another great stay with the Hampton Inn friendly touch! Clean rooms, fast elevators that you cant even tell are moving until the doors open on a new floor, and a nice spacious work out room that doesnt feel crowded when there are several people in it. Indoor Pool and hot tub ready to go. Extra convenient location to the arena (10 min walk), restaurants, grocery stores and river walk paths.

      image Checked in through Hilton Honors app, however when we got there we had to change rooms to be next to our group. The gal at check in was super nice and quickly fixed this situation.Staff at front desk and at breakfast were great as well throughout visit. Hotel was within walking distance to downtown and East Village filled with plenty of restaurants and bars.
      Nearby activities: Walking trails along the river, Science Center of Iowa and Fort Des Moines II - Birthplace of Des Moines Memorial Cabin.
      Food & drinks: A block away from El Bait Shop and The High Life Lounge. Other food and drink options were 5-10 minute walk away.
