My mother died 11/20/20. I was the POA. I. 10/19/20 I just recieved another statement to my dead mother. They would rather collect maintenance fees and waste paper and disrespect my dead mother than close the account. DO NOT BANK HERE. I TAKE OFFENSE TO HORIZON NOT CLOSING THIS ACCOUNT. HORIZON BANK IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! You are wrong if you think I haven't tried eveything. Close this account!!!!!!!Close this account!!!!! Your Deposit Operations has my DL and my dead Mothers Death certificate. I am tied of the run around. Everrytime I see a Statement or marketing to my dead Mother. You will keep seeing These posts. Close my dead mothers account and quit marketing to a dead person. It is Disrespectful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to Rich to get my home loan. Was treated like royalty. Since then had problems with their credit card -- the one with HORIZON printed boldly on the front? Their reward program -- a program to reward customers for using their card -- issued me 4 cards. None of them worked. Finally got thru to customer service -- Elan Services -- they couldn't help, so it was obviously all me. Ended up losing over $100 for "card services" charged because I couldn't use them, and active cards are charged a monthly fee. Wrote four times to Horizon Customer Service. ZERO RESPONSES. Looked at board of directors page to see who to contact. I haven't seen that many old white men in any bank shot. Does Valpo not have people of color? Guess not. NO SERVICE. NO HELP. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Thanks.
