I stayed 4 nights at the Hampton Inn on South Meridian in Indianapolis. You jacked up the rate to over 3 times usual because of the eclipse. I did not get housekeeping ONE SINGLE DAY. Tuesday, there was no hot water so I had to shower and shave in cold water.

I stayed at this hotel for one night for the eclipse. We got in on Monday (the day of the eclipse) and requested an early checkin. The front desk employee was rude and said there was no early checkin. I understood given the busy eclipse weekend with people checking in and out. When I asked if they had a bathroom they said I needed a room key to access the second floor. I said I dont have a room key because I was not allowed to check in. The same rude employee informed me I would not be able to access the bathroom. I expected better customer service given how much we were paying to stay in their hotel that night. It was poorly handled and I dont understand why a hotel would not let a guest have access to a bathroom. Other cons: rooms are a bit noisy, water pressure and temperature was off. Pros: The hotel is dog friendly, clean, in a prime location downtown and there is a complimentary hot breakfast.

Ii recently reserved a room and paid for parking with my room, but did not want to have the valet parking service and the parking attendant gave me a card to forgive the extra parking fee. The parking was very busy the 2nd night and I did not want to use the valet parking so I kept my vehicle in the external parking. I tried to speak to a different parking attendant in the morning regarding this about parking, and the attendant stated there was nothing that could be done. So I had to pay an additional $52.00 parking cost. In the morning we were preparing to leave we seen the valet personnel hot-rod driving a newer charger from the valet parking lot. So I'm very glad I did not use the valet parking. VERY dissatisfied with the whole 2 night stay. The second morning there were so many peoplev whad to wait approximately 10 min, or more to get on the elevator. Would not recommend. Staff was not helpful at all after talking to the first time.

Great hotel downtown that was easy to check into, friendly front desk people and the room was amazing! Will definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
