The restaurant food is excellent there Services okay could be stepped up a notch the worst thing about this place is the parking it's horrendous it's so far away you have to pay the weather's bad and not really safe or you don't feel safe walking from your car

Wonderful hotel!
The hotel is new and beautiful, but the real star is the staff. Special shout out to the breakfast crew and their "we got you" attitude. The breakfast is made to order. I still expected to maybe have some plain oatmeal, as that is often the only case for my family, who are vegan and gluten free. The breakfast staff was determined to make us something filling and delicious, and they did! We had oatmeal with fruit and brown sugar, a skillet of potatoes, veggies, and mushrooms, and cereal with oat milk. Breakfast is FREE and unlimited, so please tip these amazing people generously! There is also a cute coffee shop in the hotel, but I did not even try it, because the free coffee at breakfast was so good, and oat milk was provided. If you have a special diet and/or like to save money, you will eat well here. We only ate out once in 2.5 days due to the big breakfasts and microwave/fridge in the room.
The rooms are spacious and clean. I have one small complaint, which is the lighting. I am generally a "no overhead lighting" person, but this was just silly. The lighting available only cast small puddles of light, so digging through the suitcase to find stuff was unnecessarily difficult. The lights next to the bed were too high up to turn off from the bed, haha! I have never had that problem. The lighting is really the only thing I would change about our stay.
One minor issue came up (which was no one's fault), and the manager, Sal, handled it beautifully.
I don't have a reason to go to Rockford, but I will return to this hotel just for a nice, quick change of scenery in a beautiful hotel.
