My fiance went there and was greeted by her consultant who did not even introduce herself. She was then told to just "pick out five dresses and come get me". The consultant was not willing to help look for dresses, and any questions asked she got the response "I don't know there really is not much here". My Fiance ended up walking out with out trying a single dress on. Service was extremely unprofessional and unwelcoming.

They had a great dress selection, so you can imagine how terrible their customer service must have been to drop them down to two stars. We ordered a dress in January and were told we would receive it in March. Come April, we find out it won't be done until August, a month before the wedding! Calling customer service to talk about the order apparently requires a manager, who won't be available for several days. If you are the kind of person who expects to pay money and receive a product, you know, a human being, then I suggest going elsewhere. Like, anywhere else. And not just the other House of Brides in southside Chicago, as their reviews suggest similar issues.

Horrible Terrible experience !! the consultants had the worst attitude ever. the moment we walked in the store , we felt Un-welcomed , the consultant didn't welcome us. she showed us the dresses and said " here all the dresses we have, try whatever you like" and then went missing the whole time !

Good selection of wedding dresses but all downhill after that. I went to the Oaklawn HOB. We paid for my dress in full May 27, 2014 my wedding is November 1, 2014. We were assured it would get here in plenty of time. My dress did not come in until October 22nd leaving me less than two weeks for alterations, and of course the dress needs alterations. When we asked about the seamtress we were told she wouldn't be back to work until Tuesday October 28th....leaving us with less than a week for her to even see me the dress and start alterations and then charge me for it or argue w them till they gave it to me free....The lady rattled off some other seamstress across the street or something that might be able to help me....No thank u. Thank God my mother was a seamstress in her past life she will do the alterations for me...GOD bless that woman! Then my mother went back HOB to look at shoes I told her never to go back there, well she asked about steaming my dress....their response it will be $150 only if you use our seamstress for alterations, who by the way wasn't available until the Tuesday before my wedding A MESS!!..... I would never EVER recommend HOB go to David's Bridal or a smaller privately owned bridal shop NEVER AGAIN.
