Unfortunately, when following up for an estimate today. I was told I was given the estimate because they thought I was just going to cash out with the insurance company after an accident I was involved in. The person who spoke with me then Told me. Yeah we wouldnt want to take it, I took that as well wouldnt have accepted this job because I quoted you for garbage work. I asked what is the difference that I would have to pay to fix an area of rust on a side panel that was needing to get repaired anyways due to part of the collision damage. He didnt even say ok let me get back to you after I look up prices. He immediately gave me an astronomical amount. This is just bad business. Had he inquired more l, instead of stereo typing me or my vehicle, he would have found out I had already shopped around and got the claim approved for more than his estimate due to other repair shops estimates including the cost for a complete replacement of that side panel. So they lost out on easy money. I Will never recommend this body shop to anyone I know. Also, the quote to replace that part and blend it during the paint job was only $1000 more from 3 different shops. They were all within $20 of each for estimate on the same job. I have taken my business to collision specialist in Crystal lake who told me upfront before the quote if I wanted to add in the quote a replacement which I what was recommended but might not have been covered by insurance or just patching and painting.

This company is awful. I was referred here by my insurance and every time I talked to the owner (John) about my car he was a condescending prick who didnt want to do the work. Please dont take your car here, find somewhere where customers are appreciated and they know what they are doing. I ended up going to Riverside Collision in Fox River Grove and they were amazing.
