Thornton Properties of Chicago, Inc.

My previous review was removed, so here goes again.I applied for and paid an application, credit check fee ($59) for a unit in a condo building. I nor the rental agent ever hear one word back from Thornton and was left to assume that I didnt get the unit. It then dawns on me that as a victim of identity theft, I have alerts on my credit file that require that they call me any time I request to have my credit pulled. I was never called to authorize the credit pull, nor does it show up on my credit report as a hard inquiry.  I do not believe that my credit was pulled.....it seems like they just took my money.  I called the owner and he had every excuse for why no one called to give me an update and for why I am not due a refund for the fee.Don't bother with these crooks. They're unprofessional and will just take your money
