Krav Maga Illinois

I started taking classes over a year ago, and I cant imagine life without Krav now! Not only is it great exercise, but it has made me so much more confident in my day to day life. Learning the self defense techniques in a safe environment, while still pushing myself physically has made me stronger physically and mentally. Not only that, but the community is the best. I have made new lifelong friends at Krav, its truly my favorite place to (almost) get punched :)

Krav Maga Illinois is an incredible organization for self defense training. The owner Sue and her team have created a nurturing environment, welcoming and supportive but also strictly adherent to the principles of Krav Maga. The instructors are top notch. There is a comradery amongst the staff and the students, and although the classes are exhilarating and will challenge you to improve your fitness, there is always laughter and a light spirit. It appears that at any time, life may become a contact sport. What better way to prepare yourself for that contact than by training at Krav Maga Illinois! Thank you Sue and everyone for welcoming me to your awesome training center!

I have trained with Krav Maga Illinois for 3 years and It has greatly improved my confidence to protect myself. As a plus, my physical endurance and stamina has also improved from when I started. The classes are vigorous and push you to your limit as a warm-up before you get to learn self-defense techniques and escapes. There is sparring with a partner in almost every class to practice the techniques. The sparring increases with each level you advance to. The techniques themselves are realistic and practical if found in a situation where one would need to use them. Additionally there are 5 hour + exams to pass from each level in Krav Maga, which really push you to your physical limit and show how much the techniques are muscle memory once you are exhausted. Sue, the instructors and staff are knowledgeable and always encourage you to accomodate the exercises to your level and build up from there. If you are serious about learning self-defense and are ready to put in the hardwork, then don't hesitate to take Krav Maga with Krav Maga Illinois. My confidence to protect myself has increased as I've practiced Krav Maga here and that's something incredibly valuable as I go outside unknowing of dangers that are near.
