    So, I'm not one to leave negative reviews. I just stop going and they don't get my business anymore. But this one really frosted me. My wife and I have been members here since 2016. We've gone a number of times and it's a nice getaway for a few hours. However, I went to book a room last week, and I had to renew my membership. Up pops a questionnaire about my likes and dislikes, plans for the future, favorite colors, what I did for a living, etc. I was trying to get this booked before I walked into a meeting (If I don't do it while I'm thinking about it, I'll forget later.) and I copy and paste "I don't care" into all the answers and continue on to book my room. Later, I get an email from Lora Wright explaining how I made a bunch of rude comments, and the owners don't want a bunch of people who don't follow the rules in their hotel and I was now banned forever from their property. Now mind you, I had just paid the membership fee. I emailed back, explaining that we're busy people. I don't need my favorite colors or favorite champagne in the room. I want to spend the few hours my wife and I get alone somewhere and just do our thing. It falls on deaf ears. Whatever. I won't come back. Fine. I wouldn't have even written this review, if not for the fact that she still hasn't refunded my membership fee and now I have to spend time chasing that down. Not to mention I had a $50 credit on my account from the last time we went, and she mysteriously "couldn't find any credit on my account." What a complete waste of time. Edit: At one point, the owner responded to my review and apologized, and asked me to give them another shot. I see that response has since been deleted, and I'm still banned from the property. Guess next time will be at the Sybaris.

    This was my first time going to the Axis in Chicago, i will never go back to this business establishment. I am completely shocked at how unprofessional this place is. The room was nice for that one night but the overall experience was extremely horrible I am very disappointed! 2 front desk members JUANA (female) Francis (male). Both were very unprofessional Checked in Saturday 3/22/24 paid for two nights in the LUSH room. Francis allowed to pay for both nights, but didnt inform me of a room change/downgrade..sunday 3/23/24. JUANA informed me in the morning 9am that i did not have to check out the LUSH room because paid for two night .. from noon-1:30 received back to back calls to my room asking us to checkout and go to a different downgraded room, but i was never told about a downgrade from Francis on Saturday checking in 2/22/24 or from JUANA 3/23/24. This was a big inconvenience to me driving from Michigan for 4 hours Front desk Worker (Juana) stated they over booked so many ppl so they cant honor my reservation for the lush room two nights. And i had no choice but to downgrade and she couldnt refund me the difference! and theres was nothing she can do about the inconvenience. I Asked to speak to the manager,she stated she doesnt have a manager. I left and did not accept the downgraded room! I dont see any reason why I would continue to be a member when the company would treat people like this! Also being rushed to pack and leave out the room my guest left his car keys in the room. No one called to say that the keys were found. It was not until we were back in Michigan a (4hour) drive that we realized the keys were left. We called to see if they found them and they did but they just never reached out to say that they were found. I have come to the conclusion that this place only cares about the money its bringing in and not the experience their members and guest are having!

And i had no choice but to downgrade. There is $100 price difference in the rooms,. That Juana tired to give us a bottle of bel air champagne for the difference.. I felt very disappointed and disrespected for the amount of money that i spent, and for the front desk workers not doing there job correctly. I left and did not want the downgraded room. I left my other car keys in the lush room. Door 3 Room 101 . When i got back home i called. Again very unprofessional who answered the phone. They stated the housekeeper did bring them keys that was left. But they did not call to inform me. I drove 4 hours back to Michigan had to call them for them to tell me. They already knew keys were left. They stated it was nothing they could do till Monday 3/24/24 when manager comes in. Hopefully they will mail me my car keys For my first time going i will never go back to this business establishment. The room was nice but overall experience was horrible
