Heartland Bank and Trust Company

The bad reviews on here kind of scary. I have never had a problem with this heartland Bank. I like it cuz when my debit card is set to expire I can go to their office and get one immediately instead of through the mail and keep my original pin. I open my account with them and been with them since 2009. One winter my car wouldn't start and somebody from the office even helped me.

Slowest service Ive ever received in a bank. Im glad I used Busey for a primary.

Received the welcome packet when banks were switched. Never received debit card so called. Said 7 to 13 days. Never came. Called again and was told that due to address change I'd have to wait 30 days for card. Ok,but welcome letter came to this address and previous bank had changes and I was getting statements. Upset obviously but at their mercy. Was told I could use remaining checks. That did ok for a couple bills however went to get food and grocery store will not take my check. It has been over 3 weeks and still no debit and now can't even get food with my money that is sitting in the bank. Switching asap. Previos bank I had zero issues. Not one in over 10 years. Within the first month of switch.....awful experience. Not a reassuring start with someone else's money and life. Even tried several times to link bank with cash app. Initial transaction won't go through and now says it won't link. With correct bank name,routing and checking credintals.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have banked here since I was 12 opened my first account with them. I have had other issues that I tried to over look because I love the ladys in the office but they have gone to far. I deposited a check on a Friday they put a hold on it and then passed me a piece of paper that I signed agreeing to the hold, stating I would get a portion of that check by that next Monday. After waiting over the weekend and waiting till after 12 oclock that Monday, the money had not yet hit my account. When I called to ask where the money was they informed me that it would actually be 2 weeks. They then said there was nothing I could do except wait and they cant do anything about it. When I said I had bills due this week and I will just figure it out elsewhere, and I would come to get the check back, they then told me they cant give me back the check. I have banked with them since I was 12 and will be closing my account ASAP bank elsewhere!
