There is a deathly smell coming from the bathroom since day one. I've contacted them multiple times over the months, and each time they come up with excuses and no solutions to the issue. No apartment space should smell like this. It doesn't matter if it's an old building, management/maintenance should come up with a long term solution to fix the issue.

Initial Review. This will be updated at end of the lease. From being a homeowner to a apartment renter is the best decision I ever made. Originally aiming to live at Elmhurst area with a new apartment complex starting out with a 4.5+ review, however, all the floor plans I wanted was taken so I went back out again to search and I came across Hancock Square with Garret. If I were to live at somewhere thats not my own property I look at the reviews more than what the apartment offers, because the reviews can show how a complex is run. Hancock Squares review is great overall, their packages is great and the floor plan is great for its price. Without any hesitation I signed directly after the day I contacted Garret over the phone. I must say I was lucky to not signing at the place originally I planned on living at Elmhurst because their review at the moment is now a 3.7 and if I signed I wouldnt have came across Hancock Square. After signing and paying for everything Garret was more than willing to put me on his schedule for a quick tour. You all might think Im crazy when I say this but they offer me too much space lol. I have too much spaces for what I need, which is a good thing. All the amenities are great but Id probably only use the gym. It has all you need in there except it only goes up to 50lbs, but they are cool with you bringing your own weights which I might do for days when Im feeling lazy to drive to a commercial gym. Move In: They are really flexible with you during move ins, and the process is pretty straightforward and easy. Garret even helped moving some big furniture in my apartment before I arrive which is much appreciated. Overall, the move in experience is amazing. First Week: Settling in and making this place my new home. I got too much spaces I will be honest lol. There is a lot of restaurants, grocery stores, and such nearby which is really convenient. The best part is the covered garage has a skybridge that leads to the apartment which is super convenient. Only if it was a enclosed garage, but it is still great. The package room is great where all your packages are secured and it will notify you when packages arrive. There is a lot of things in this building you can access through their apps which is pretty convenient. Overall, this place is great and the best choice I have made. 6 months in: Will I recommend it? Sure, its nice and a great location. The people are nice and friendly. There is no noise at all from what I have experienced. Great location to the downtown location if you prefer walking, and a great location to pretty much everything in Arlington Heights since this is near the center of the town. It would be nice if the garage is heated and enclosed, it would be nice if the building is not as old as it is, and it would be nice if it has individual heating/cooling system. As you probably would know: if there are pros there are cons, nothing is perfect. 6 months in the pros outweighs the cons significantly at Hancock Square. We shall see what its like at the end of the lease.
