Horrible place to live. Had terrible neighbors back to back who were doing drugs and smoking constantly in the building. People constantly blasting music and are threatening when you try to say something. Cops there every day. Management does nothing about it. This place is terrible.

I was choosing between The Pavilion in Norridge and The Residents of Arlington. I moved into R of A on February 2. The attention and quality of customer service from the leasing was some of the best Ive seen and I lived in the West Loop area for 20 years. The grounds were clean everywhere I observed and when asked questions about where things are, they were polite and helpful. So far Ive heard nothing disturbing from any neighbors either. Although this place was further out of the City then I ever imagined me living. Im happy I made this choice.

Called to ask about a 2 bedroom apartment and the lady hanged up for no reason. She was probably not having a good day but that's not a way to treat people. Definitely wouldn't want to live at The Residenence now.

As other reviewers note: The rent listed on page one of your lease, the standard "National Apartment Association" leasing template, bears no resemblance to what you will actually be billed. My lease on a one-bedroom says $1490 on that page, and I've never been billed less than $1615. I've signed this form-lease at multiple other apartments and never been billed more than my top-line number. Clearly, this is a deceptive corporate practice. Disturbing individuals who presumably couldn't lease elsewhere live here. I'd be fine writing my experience with this off as bad luck, but given the other reviews and the experiences of my neighbors, this seems more like corporate policy to keep occupancy rates high. The amenities (except the gym) aren't open Sundays or nights, so are of little use for those working full-time jobs. The apartments are normal apartments with new light fixtures and appliances, not luxury. Perfectly nice, but in conjunction with the issues described above, lacking in value. The staff are excellent, the only bright spot. One star, because at this price point you'd do better anywhere else.
