    I love Zamzows so much, I go to different locations frequently. I mainly go there for my reptile supplies, but after coming to this store I was pretty disappointed. Ive always chose Zamzows because of their fantastic animal care, always choosing the best options even for temporary care. Several of lizards were on reptile carpet which is actually really bad for them. On top of this there was improper tank sizes and hides. The Leopard Gecko had little to no humid areas. While I love Zamzows, this location definitely disappointed me a little. I know that these animals are here for a temporary time, but the care theyre given in that time is why animal lovers choose Zamzows over other pet stores and lawn places. Its still better than Petco or Petsmart, but I cant help but feel a little angered by it.

    Go Elsewhere for Propane, Price Gouging. Jan 25th 2024 -- went in for a propane tank refill. Was excited to see a "$0.50 off sale" was going on. I checked local rate on google and saw average in the area was $2.60/gal so I was expecting a good deal at around 2.10 per gallon. The man who filled the tank didn't know the exact price (the board was blank) but was very nice and talkative while filling the tank, which is what is earning the 2nd star. Went inside to pay and a thin gal "Kaiya" (according to the receipt) rang me up at 2.99/gal. I asked if that was with the discount and she said yes. I said "wow, that is not a great sale then, with the discount it is more than anywhere else around here." She responded without any apology or empathy or sympathy whatsoever, and in a very flat voice "well its a discount here and we've already filled you up so please swipe your card". I contacted a manager at a local Jacksons and was advised their bulk propane fill rate was $2.58/gal without discounts ($0.02 less than what I googled). Clearly Z's is gouging prices to discount and still rip people off. Wont be back. Now I don't really care about $1.01 per gal over other local places when we're talking only 5 gallons, nor do I care that they are misleading about it being on "sale" with clearly heavily marked up prices; what I DO care about is the way I was treated. Customer Service at Z's is slipping and getting worse and I've had enough. As a local repairman and remodeler I will take my yard care, seed, sprinkler, and other needs back to Home Depot or Lowes and will skip a local company that does not seem to show concern regarding their reputation in the community. Update to owners reply: respectfully I disagree that your pricing is fair and competitive. I've already verified it's not and cited my source. As to your request to alter my review: having read your other reviews I see you don't mind employee names mentioned in other reviews and have both thanked other reviews that use names and used employees names in your responses so I will not remove it in mine. Perhaps you might educate your employees that you print their names on receipts and being rude or acting unacceptably can get called out. I see no reason from your reply to come around again and wish you good luck in your future staff training.
