Hotel Security led by Mitch writes out fake police reports. Call Honolulu Police Dept from cellphone and not the room hotel to bypass this incompetent pos. Mitch also rehires the people that were previously fired. Hyatt desperately need new management asap!

Customer service nightmare we received at Hyatt Regency Waikiki. Besides dated room, not-working lamp bathroom vent fan, extremely slow elevator I thought I could look past, one rude restaurant staff totally ruined my family vacation. We chose Hyatt Waikiki based on the reputation of excellent customer service. And thats the first and probably last impression we will ever get for this Hyatt.
Noteworthy details: Some of staff cant handle their job with professional work attitude.

I didn't have bad experiences when I stayed here. But I won't stay here again in the future, mainly due to hotel's inconvenient design.
The resort is located at the prime location. Very close to the beach, shops and restaurants. However, the way the resort designed is really frustrating. The resort occupies a whole block. The check-in desk is located at the center of the second floor with one tower on either side. You will have to walk up stairs or find a very tiny elevator with your luggages to get to check-in desks. If you stay at the diamond head tower, which valet is located and is closer to beach, every time you go out or come back, you will have to walk to the center of the resort, walk up the stairs to the second level (where the check-in desk is). Then walk back to the end of resort and just get to the diamond head tower elevator. There is no elevator directly taking your from group level to any room in diamond tower. So essentially you have to walk the whole block to get in or out each time. It defeats the purpose of "prime location". Also the elevators are tiny and sometimes they don't work at tall. Most of time, you will see a line waiting for elevators. The other tower seems to be better. There is an escalator taking you from the entrance to the second level, then you may take elevator to your room. I wish they can simplify the flow.
Did I mention the TVs? A smart TV costs 150. Apparently, they didn't have the budget for that.
