Unfortunately I have to give these people a ONE! I am was a widow moving by myself. I thought i had done my homework on movers but evidently not too well. These people were exceptionally nice up front up until the day before the move. The sales manager called to get the final inventory from me. I did have a few, very few, more boxes than what I originally thought. Originally I forgot to include a footboard bench in the bedroom, so i added that. The first time I told him that I would have 10 lamps supposedly in separate boxes. I ended up breaking them down into one box probably around 36x20x 20. I thought that would make up for the extra boxes I had to add at the end. He said well that is a few extra than what we priced your estimate. I agreed. He said let me go re-figure your estimate as of today. He came back on the line and really did not share with me what this total was. Instead he said it was a little higher than the first estimate. BUT WE HAVE TO PUT IN A LARGER AMOUNT ON THE BOTTOM LINE BECAUSE IT WAS A DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION THING. At this time he told me not to worry because with this new estimate I wouldnt have to pay probably $300.00 or $400.00 more. He said the actual men that came to move me would survey and tell me how much more it would be. The day of the move the paperwork showed about $1500.00 more than originally planned. The saleman was correct in saying the movers would let me know the additional cost. They did. And for only their part it was an extra $350.00. So i asked the movers where did the other $1150.00 come from. He didnt know. So i got on the phone to United. I asked to speak with the sales manager. He wasnt in. So I said tell him to call me. To this day i have never spoke to him. He would never talk to me again. A girl in the office said she was returning the call. I explained and she said the larger amount was the correct amount. So I either had to pay or send these people (wasnt their fault) away and plan another move. I thought about it very seriously but it was an out of state move and I could not very well coordinate anything else in a hurry. So I got taken!!!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. Go directly to a moving company not brokers.

I wish that 0 was a rating because that is exactly what I would give them. I called different companies to get a price on my out of state move. The gentleman that I spoke with at United Express was wonderful! However, he did not tell me that they were a broker. I booked the move 3 weeks out because of him. He told me that someone would call me a week before the move to do a video chat and see exactly how many trucks we would need. He promised me too 18 wheeler trailers. I told him that I moved out of state to this house a few years ago and I had not gained anymore or lost any stuff so I knew how many trailers I would need, well the Monday came, No one called me. Tuesday came, no one called me. I was suppose to close one the new house on Friday. I called Wednesday morning pretty upset and canceled my move with them. I had a guy call me on the phone Wednesday afternoon and tell me he would be at my house Thursday morning to move me. I told him then I did not need his service any longer and the guy showed up at my house Thursday morning with a little bitty box trailer And two guys to pack a two story home and a 30 x 40 shop. I ended up getting a local mover and I called my bank to reverse the charges that the company had taken out of my account. The charges were reversed and sent back to me. It was $6000. Now fast forward to today I wake up and United Xpress got the money back from my account, so this is not the end of the story. I hope to report that I got my money back but I would definitely not pick this moving company. I hope that this helps someone in your decision because if I wouldve read all of the negative reviews I would still have my $6000!

Horrible moving company. The epitome of what people fear will happen when using movers. They quoted me one price to get my business and then two days before my move told me Id need to pay an additional $800 because I had a lot of stuff. This is after being told I was initially under weight and I could bring additional items if I wanted to because I wasnt meeting the load minimum. Both salesmen said they would be available the day of the move if I had any questions. That was a lie. They didnt respond to me at all. Instead a rude customer service agent called me and began with her attitude from the onset of the call. On the day of the move I was told by the movers (the movers were from another company and were excellent) that the sales people had underquoted me and its take another $700 to take all the things with me. I was frustrated as I had provided this exact list to the sales man two days earlier. The sales people also lied about the cost for long carry, packing materials (which they said they included complimentary) and other fees. Horrible company, horrible service. Do not work with them!

I wish I could give a zero. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone when I booked this was very help and nice. I did not realize they were a broker. Right before the load up date, someone sent me an email about how many boxes I had and the sizes. I informed the first(broker) guy that they were all different sizes because I had been packing slowly and using what I could get. He said that it was no problem. Apparently your box your boxes need to be uniform. My husband sent them an itemized list and they said it was more that originally told and told him he needed to pay $1000 more. When movers arrive, they are not from united but falcon moving. (Never heard of them). They told my husband since I had different size boxes, 2 beds needed to be wrapped and they assisted my husband with removing 1 tv from the wall that it was now going to be another $2000 and I would need to pay the balance of $2300 when they got to my location. They called me on a Friday afternoon to tell me they would be there on Saturday. They were supposed to take everything to my storage but couldnt get the semi truck into that location so the brought everything to my temporary rental. I was scambling to get cash because of short notice. When they arrive, my stuff is in the middle of 2 other loads. My stuff took up a 1/4 of the trailer. It was crammed in tight. I had smashed and busted boxes. After they finished and left, I walked to from yard and the workers left their lunch bags with food and drink all over the yard. These people are very unprofessional. I called to complain. Was told they would pull my paperwork and get back with. No call and not holding my breath that I will get any answer as to why I was charged $7000 for this moved. RUN FROM THESE PEOPLE!

The initial experience of booking with United was great. Once the night before came, the actual moving company H&G called me and told me the movers were coming the next day between 12-2 when I requested a morning time weeks before. I didnt want to drive almost 5 hours from my location and make it at night, but I did. Then he mentioned overage charges and it went all down hill from there. The next day the movers from H&G were super late, they had to get a new uhaul and I had to wait for that. the H&G company that was hired through United was so unprofessional and kept trying to up charge and I wasnt able to move half of my things I wanted to move. He told me things that were the total opposite that I had heard from United and told me they were just telling me what I wanted to hear. I was told I could pay the movers in cash, H&G asked and the movers asked for cashapp and I declined. I didnt get a physical receipt, I was told to take a pic of the receipt that the movers took with them and send it to the boss at H&G. The movers were tired so they came a day after. The whole deal was almost a nightmare and I will never use their or United services again.
