I purchased an open box of siding from the Newnan location. I paid for 9 pieces but did not count them myself. I was told that the box contained 9. I drove straight to the job site and my workers began to put the siding up. They told me that there were only seven pieces in the box. I sent another worker back to Lansing to pick up the missing pieces. He was told that their inventory was correct and that we would have to buy additional pieces if we wanted them. I returned to the store myself the next day to explain the situation to them. They told me that their inventory was correct and that somebody else had probably grabbed my siding as it appeared to be a similar color. They told me it wasnt their problem and that there was nothing they could do. If you purchase anything from Lansing in an open box or container I would count it yourself. Otherwise you may be paying for something you did not receive. This is the problem when youre buying from a huge corporation. As a former business owner if this happened in my business I would certainly have given the customer what they said they paid for in order to retain their business. Especially if it was just a couple of small pieces of siding.
