If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The customer service is the absolute worst I've seen. They had horrible attitudes, and didn't seem to know what they were talking about at all. Update: 6 years later and still the same issues. TLDR: the company is predatory and is only interested in getting your money. The daily staff doesn't care either. Full story: I am absolutely appalled by my experience at the Budget in Marietta. My husband and I were going to pick up our parents and take them on vacation, and I reserved our vehicle over a week earlier without issue (and paid early). We arrived to pick up our car, and after running my license we were told that we are on the "do not rent" list. Apparently, in 2017 there was a "suspected non- registered driver" flag placed on my ID, simply because my husband went inside to return the keys while I parked the vehicle. I am appalled that the issue was not addressed b real time, nor was it brought to our attention in the following days, months, or years. Finding out that I cannot rent for an issue that actually didn't even occur cost us getting to our vacation rental, as it was noon on a Friday, so no other vehicles were available. I was directed to call security about getting the flag removed, but apparently nobody is in the office until Monday. Why on earth is nobody available to assist with an issue like this at a non- holiday time?? We are now stranded, and there is nothing that we can do. The person at the front desk was not helpful at all with offering suggestions on next steps, not was he even sympathetic to our plight. Further, I could not even get a refund for my prepayment - I apparently have to call a number instead, and will not be able to get the money back for at least a week. And I didn't even get to rent the car So I also don't have funds available to rent a new vehicle anyway now. This all seems VERY predatory in practice. No upfront, early communication, and no immediate way to remedy a situation that arises during a REGULAR BUSINESS DAY. My family vacation is ruined, all over a miscommunication over 6 years ago. There has to be a better way to do business.
