Heritage Crossing Apartments

I was going to move here but when I did the walk through, it was spiders and a dead roach on the stove. Also I was showed an apartment In the dark because they said the lights wasn't working.

EDIT: Ok, I'm editing my initial review because ever since the new management company took over (Broad Management) it's been nothing but progress and turning this property around! Communication with office staff is super easy. April will always answer emails even if she can't answer the phone, as she is currently splitting her time between two locations. And STILL manages to stay on top of all the improvements. All of my previous concerns are being resolved and I couldn't be happier. It's so nice to finally have someone come in and actually do the upgrades and improvements they promised. Security issues are being remedied with very bright lights outside and in the breezeways, as well as security cameras (coming soon). Measures being put into place to get things under control! I love it. Everything isn't completed yet, it takes time, this place was a mess! But their promises have been kept so far, so I have no doubt all the upgrades will be completed as they are approved. The pool is being worked on as well. It hasn't even been in use for over a year! Most (not all) of the riff raff is slowly trickling out so the living environment is becoming more relaxed. I'm looking forward to when it no longer sounds like a night club outside.There's still noise, but not as much. The new company is good about enforcing rules and expectations, so people who are used to no rules won't stay long. Security gate has not worked in like four years, so I'm looking VERY forward to finally having a way to keep said riff raff out of here.

GREAT MANAGEMENT, GREAT NEIGHBORS, WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. HAVE ONLY MOVED IN FOR A LITTLE OVER A WEEK NOW. BUT SO FAR, I HAVE LOVED EVERY DAY

I currently stay here. I had some fraudulent transactions with my bank. I stopped by the office to let April and Oga know what was going on. I had paid my rent before the bank did a lost stolen on my account. Once I made it to the office discussing this matter with them they informed me that everything was fine and not to worry. My response to them was ok Im coming to yall because I dont want anything to fall back on me. Their eyes were still on the computer screen then I was looked right into my eyes stating that everything was okay. Well not even 40 mins later I received an email stating that my payment had been returned due to account being frozen and they have put $75.00 worth of fees onto my account. When asked to speak to cooperate I was given the incorrect number to the person which handled the account. This was all in December. It is now February and all they could tell me is its only $75.00 and you didnt have any money in your account so this is your fault and I cant help you with anything. My response still is. How is it my fault when I came to you guys and yall told me that I was in good standing. While in office the manager April began talking and walking around the office as if I wasnt there. So yes I began to tell her that she was rude and disrespectful. I then asked to speak to cooperate again and she only gave me a website stating that it was the only point of contact she had. So in case of an emergency you mean to tell me that she would have to go on a website; I honestly dont think so. Yes they are really rude disrespectful unprofessional and no sense of communication to any human. All they want to hear is pay the money and get out of their faces. They dont want to be bothered with you anytime you go in there and it been a true disaster. I also explained to April that she was messing with my lively good because this affects your credit score and will cause you to not be approved at another property. She just looked at me like I really wish she would get out of this office etc. I would never recommend anyone to come and live here as long as they are over the property because all you are or will ever be to them are $$$$$.

Do not waste your time with this complex. First of all they NEVER answer the phone. I drove to this complex from southside Atlanta a total of 5 times just to get answers. The most disappointing and inhumane part was that they told my 60 year old mother that she was approved for the apartment and that they were just waiting to see how much her security deposit was. She was so excited to be moving to Commerce and we begun the process of moving. We called this complex several times and when we seldom got answers they still said they were waiting for a deposit amount. After days of packing and waiting for a move in date , my mother decided to drive up there for answers only to be told that she wasn't approved after weeks of waiting and being told she was approved. This was extremely disheartening because not only did their lack of knowledge affect my mother, this has affected the rest of our family as we all made arrangements to move closer to Commerce based on this complex telling my mother she was indeed approved several times. I think the most disturbing part is how nonchalant they were when they told my mother she was no longer approved and immediately blamed this "mistake" on lack of training. Not only was it disturbing it was disgusting. To watch my mother under distress because this complex is unorganized and lacks knowledge truly broke my heart. Please if you can help it do not bother to rent from here! For this to be tax credit housing the rent is still high. The women who run the office are all incompetent. In retrospect this may have been a blessing in disguise as one day when I had to visit this complex because guess what ? They didn't answer the phone , the police were looking for a fugitive on the run . and when we rode around the complex it's actually ghetto , dirty and the gates are always open. A full month of wasted time , money and energy because the people who run the office are lazy , inconsiderate and they definitely lack compassion for people. I'm so glad I wasn't present when they told my mom this news I probably would've told everyone in that office about themselves! DISGUSTING,INHUMANE, INCOMPETENT INDIVIDUALS RUN THIS OFFICE. THIS COMPLEX NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT ASAP!
