I hate the Experience Because the air conditioning doesnt work it makes us sick it has ants and our ceiling was coming down and it took them a year to get here to fix it does it make sense

The apartments are poorly kept. I should have known it was a bad sign when I entered the leasing office there was a roach on the back door. I said that to say building 6 had a roach infestation and building 4 does as well. When I say it's bad it's horrible. They should be paying rent bad. I mean 50 big and small roaches on the ceiling in a cluster ball bad. Im not sure about the other building. Don't be fooled by the price. If you Don't mind the pest and Maintenance I mean lack of maintenance. I guess it is better than living in a cardboard box. Nina no longer there.:( Alex should be replaced he is not a good fit for the property. He lies and never answer phone or emails. Puts up a good front but he drags this community down.

Summit Avondale has come a long way the past few months thanks to Ms.Nina! She truly cares about the property and the tenants. She always on top of every inquiry or concern and her communication skill are great. Ive been living here almost a year and the first 6 months were hell. Glad she overseeing the property, she has a made a huge difference. 1/2024 I have to update my review. My previous review was based solely off my experience with Mrs.Nina too bad they ran her off smh This place is pathetic and I completely regret renewing my lease. I would have never if I knew Mrs. Nina was going to quit! Alex is a pathological liar. All he do is lie then act like he said something different. Then he has the nerve to het sassy bc the tenant be mad Garage everywhere, rats, roaches, dog poop on your front steps. I went 11 days no ac in July 23. September there was a leak in my kitchen, the repair was half done. Ive been waiting since sept of 2023 for it to get Completed. Ive went to the office and called dozens of times. I even call the corporate office! These ppl just want your money they do not give af about the tenants or the condition of the apartments! I will not be renewing my Lease. RUN FAR!!! Dont move here

Alex is a great person who can assist you with anything you need. Unfortunately, the maintenance team consistently falls behind on completing tasks, often causing frustration by repeatedly requesting completion of the same task. Despite this, it's still a good place to live.

*Updated* Theyre padding their google reviews. The pros The apartments are a decent size and price compared to living in Decatur or Atlanta. The location is great. Not too far from Decatur Square. Dog park near by. The folks at the leasing office are polite and try to keep you updated on problems, fixes, news etc... *Not anymore, that was three managers ago. Pro tip: just ask to speak directly to the manager to avoid having to deal with the flamboyant secretary and his attitude. The Cons Quality of tenants is very very low. They will rent to anybody and it shows. You can hear people yelling, large groups of men always standing outside smoking and blasting music late in to the night. Kids running wild both in and outside. People also dont clean up after their dogs and leave trash everywhere. Maintenance will come around and clean up but certainly people should know to do that themselves. Maintenance is hit or miss. In the year I stayed here, the complex has rotated in and out three sets of maintenance workers. When request were put in, Id either see them next day or ten days later. *The current maintenance man has zero skills aside from picking up trash. All work is currently being is done via contractors, which means longer wait times for fixes. The apartments are old so there are constantly things that need fixing. Leaks, broken ac/heat and mold are year round problems. Also the buildings are poorly insulated. God came down and personally blessed you if you are able to get a parking spot in front of YOUR BUILDING. It seem like there are 2 or 3 cars for every apartment, literally at 2 in the afternoon the lot is almost full and this is every day! Assigned parking for all tenants would have been nice. Lastly By no fault of their own, the complex is located near both the county jail and a fire station, so expect to hear sirens throughout the day and night.
