Overall, I have had a pretty good living experience. My biggest problem is the fitness center and clubhouse. Most of the fitness equipment is either broken or missing and the bathrooms and clubhouse could definitely have better cleanliness. Other than that, I really havent had any issues

Im here to tell anyone to please think twice before moving in this property. Its nasty, ghetto, unkept and property management as you see are not honest people. For me living there was just a temporary downgrade in my life. Look at these photos! Ewwww! Please think twice before you move to Optimist Lofts! Its so filthy there and has gotten worse over the years, theft, car break ins, just a MESS!

Property = Disgusting and Unsafe / Management = Lazy. Vindictive. Vengeful. I am a resident who has recently submitted their notice of non-renewal after finally having enough of this community. I have gone from living in multiple communities over the years and having only been in contact with management at move-in and move-out, to living here and the property mgr.'s email claiming a top 5 spot for outgoing email address in my gmail. This review will be long, but I will break it down based on category for your ease. Management: - If you're complaint or concern is not easily resolved by just speaking to you or going onto her computer right in front of you to resolve it, this property manager will turn you into a Karen, gaslight you about your concerns, and should you ever bring another concern to her you will be deemed a problem and monitored. Following my complaints most recently about safety in the parking garage, I was hit with a $200 trash violation for having two bags, despite the fact they missed multiple pickups that week, and then they began taking pictures of my apartment from the pool area and uploading it into the RentCafe system. I have upgraded my security system to having multiple cameras (for a 800 sq ft. apartment) and a digital door keypad to monitor entry into my apartment. - I know following this review, I will more than likely endure even more retribution from the property manager and will have no issues updating my review. The thing is we all know the communities we live in - the fees that go unenforced, the issues that go overlooked by management but all of a sudden are 100% enforced specifically for you. So while they can lean on the fact that they are only following their lease, you personally know that you've been targeted. Cleanliness of Property: - Animal feces, mice, and trash bags clutter the breezeways and parking garage in undesignated areas and valet trash often goes unpicked causing your personal trash that is put out on time to double up. This occurs ironically despite their very low threshold to dole out $200 trash violations if you put out more than one bag (even though they miss multiple days of pickups) - Landscaping is riddled with dog feces, dead grass, muddy walkways - Pool gates are broken, access points for fobs are consistently damaged. They built a brand new gazebo-type structure and then have not replaced the lights in over a year including the main lights for the sidewalk which remain burnt out causing it to be pitch black in the walkway. Property Safety: - The fire alarm falsely goes off so regularly, that I've joked with friends that I'll probably die in my apartment because I've just stopped leaving. It most often goes off at night so it'll last for hours and the fire department has even said that they can't do anything about it because the system is broken. - They added a $25 parking fee which was supposed to come with parking passes and improvements to the garage (so I was told by the assistant property manager at lease renewal time). I'm fine paying fees if they actually go to improvements, maintenance, etc. However no such improvements or passes have been granted - Since the addition of the fee, the parking garage still suffers from broken access gates, broken into vehicles, and just this week alone stolen wheels on a Honda Accord and we aren't talking about special wheels people. Maintenance Requests: - My interaction with maintenance personnel who have serviced my apartment have always been pleasant. When they are physically working on a request, it's great. However if it requires a follow up or part ordered, don't hold your breathe. I have a brand new fridge that was installed at move-in and the missing ice-maker is still missing. - Needed repairs/replacements noted at move-in were not attempted to be resolved until 8 months into my lease. Some items remain incomplete to this day and I've not bothered to continue with follow up due to lack of severity. I've included just a few photos of my time here, but believe me, they only tell part of the story.

Anytime I would stop by the leasing office with any of my concerns, a solution was presented. Whether it be immediate or later down the line, the management team sees it through each time. The quality of care and customer service Ms. Alyson presents honestly makes my day and Im grateful. I love my home here at Optimist!
