I am under contract for one of the condos. They said they would close in June, then August, then September. The contract specified only 2 extension periods were allowed. Then they just stopped sending updated contracts. I went for a closing walkthrough in September and it was not even close to being finished. What was "finished" was not quality. The floor wasn't even level! The paint had drip marks everywhere, trim with no caulking, etc. The Seller/realtor said, "2 more weeks", again and again. Mid November I got an email they the were going to start closing. Haven't heard back. They breached our contract, so I followed procedure and asked the Holder for my Earnest money, but the real estate attorney holding my money is in the Seller's pockets so no luck there yet. Going to go to arbitration, wish me luck!!

Do your self a favor and steer clear of this disaster. Never finished the project and after waiting a year and a half they refused to give me a dime of my money back. Why keep my earnest money when they didnt deliver the product? The builder called me personally and said to me straight up that he was not refunding my earnest money even though they failed to deliver. Thats just weak. Why hold my money? When I signed on in early 2021 it originally was an expected closing of April 2022, then it was July, then it was early August, then it was late August, then mid October and so on. Every proposed closing date also had two walkthroughs that they would only allow to be scheduled in the middle of the day requiring me to take time away from work and my patients only for them to push the appointments and the closing date back last minute. Such a waste of my time and money. When we finally were allowed to see the space, it was VERY underwhelming. Subpar and basic finishes. The place was an active construction site the week prior to the last scheduled closing. It wasnt going to happen. They were lying. Holes in the upper floors, non-functional elevator, and they had not even started the sheet rock on the the lower floors. Its not the fact that they were so delayed with the project. It is the fact that they lied to us repeatedly and set expectations that they knew they could never meet. Stringing those under contract along the whole time. I wasted several thousands on this place. I am definitely taking legal action.
