Surgical Information Systems

The company I work for purchased this product with high hopes. Our hopes were clearly too high. We were assured that we would be trained on how to use the program and all its "wonderful" features. They helped a bit with the initial getting started however on the back end when it came to billing our 21 day training had ended so the billing office received little to no training on how to do their jobs in SIS as it often takes a minimum of 2 weeks to hear back from insurance companies. When I submit billing to be printed and sent out to our patients, it literally goes nowhere. I printed one of the statements myself to make sure that everything looked right, and the formatting on it is all off as well as who to make the checks out to. I would never recommend this system to anyone. On top of the system being a burning dumpster fire the customer support is lacking as well. It takes weeks to hear back on any issue we submit and then when we do hear back there is no solution. Oh, on another note you have to purchase another system (Waystar) to take payments to then record into SIS. Being forced to buy a secondary system that isn't automatically integrated into the system you are selling is ridiculous. After a year of trying to make this system work the office is fed up with it. We purchased another system and are just going to let our contract with SIS end.

If you are in the medical industry, please do not go with the medical practice software! They promise to meet all of your needs however when it comes down to implementation time the expectations are not met- NOT even close! I am extremely disappointed and now stuck with a product I don't even want to use!
