Health First's Holmes Regional Medical Center Emergency Room

I spoke with Dr. Jaime J Tavarez-Gonzalez's clinic before scheduling an appointment with them because it was 130 minutes away. The price they told me was double the actual costs even though I came in as a self-pay. They tried to tell me it was due to insurance but I had to confront them that I was self-pay and paid before leaving. After disputing the costs backtracked and told me it was a quote, not the actual price. I only went to get a prescription refill, not any tests/labs also doctor told me this was the cheapest rate before paying so it's straightforward. Then tried to get me with additional fees. To make it worse they have messed up my simple medication I've been on for at least 5 years. After calling the clinic multiple times and still hasn't been resolved, also called in and (Doug) would not help me with the doctor license's number gave me a Middle Eastern name instead of my actual name, wouldn't transfer me to my supervisor, and hung up on me. This is extremely frustrating since it's affecting my life, I use this medication for work. I can only imagine what other misleading practices and care they provided. Please look into them before they ruin other people's lives.

Arrived at 9am bloodwork taken by 10:30. Its 4pm still in room and all that was done was blood, urine and 2 bags of saline and their sending us home 5 1/2 hrs later. Good luck getting a room if blood & urine test takes them 5 1/2 hr. Beware if they keep you long the less patients they have to care for in a shift.

HORRIBLE DO NOT COME IF YOU ARE BAD!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely NO sense of urgency whatsoever. Like literally just walking around asking for people who arent responding, yet they walk around for 3+ minutes asking for them?!?! Someone is in PHYSICAL pain, peeing blood, throwing up blood yet a dude with chills gets called back first??? Nah man not playing this. Such a joke

This place has the best doctors and care. Thank you so much to this facility. I gave birth to my two kids here and came today years after and the care is just as a mazing as always. Thank you
