    I am shocked to see positive reviews for this company. Perhaps they are good for people who own the house. They are terrible for tenants. Do not rent from them! Unless you enjoy being treated like a non-human. When we moved in, the back fence was this brown, crusty color. We paid to have it power washed. When we moved out, it was sparking white! When we moved in, no one had touched the back yard for years. In the corner, was a mound of trash, intermixed with vines. A raccoon was living there. I cleaned it out. I pulled out a mattress, a shovel, all kinds of surprising items. We paid someone $700 to haul it away. The thing that really turned me against them was that they treated my wife like trash. In November, Kathi told us that the owners had decided to sell, and we would have to move out. Okay, that happens. Then she asked us to give the place an extra good cleaning, because she wanted to take pictures. I told Bette "We're not doing that. That's their responsibility. The house is clean enough." But Bette took it as a challenge. She spent a couple of days cleaning, dusting, and organizing. She had that house staged like a photo shoot. She was so proud. On the day they were supposed to come and take pictures, Kathi called and said an emergency had come up, and she couldn't make it. She said she would call us in a couple days, and reschedule. Okay, that happens. But Kathi never called. When I finally asked her about it, weeks later, she said "Oh, we decided to wait until after you were out of the house." They treated us like trash. When I moved out, they charged me several hundred dollars. They said, as I recall, there was "dust on the ceiling." I take it back, they are not good for the owner of the house, either. Bette had the house beautifully staged. They could have taken pictures, and had the house on the market all through December and January. Instead, they waited until we were out, and the owners were out those potential sales. ------ I forgot to include one of the most striking incidents. I was at church. Bette was at home. Bette called me, frantic. "Some men at tearing up our driveway with jackhammers!" I talked to one of the men on Bette's phone. We had a language problem, but I made it clear that I would be calling the police if he didn't quit. I left church, and came directly home. After much confusion and struggle, I found out that this operation was authorized by Sterling! I finally got hold of someone at Sterling, and they said something like "Our construction coordinator ought to have informed you." Nobody starts tearing up someone's driveway without telling them! Unless they regard the tenant as less than human. Just a thing that generates cash once a month.
