We ordered a cargo van three weeks before we needed it. When we went to pick it up they told us they dont have cargo vans at that location, only at the airport. That is not what my reservation said. With 3 weeks notice you would think that they could have arranged to have a cargo van at the location it was booked for, or at least tell us they couldnt get one before the day we got there.

I'm only giving this one star because I can't give it less. I saw that this had a low star rating and should have listened to them. My car has a low tire, smells like a Porta potty, and the bluetooth/Android auto doesn't work. I decided I'd rather take the car than turn it back in because it would've taken about another hour for them to exchange it. I should've returned the car on the spot and gone to Avis. I have a 9 hour drive ahead of me with the windows down since the car smells awful and I have to look at my phone for maps instead of having it on the info screen. Don't waste your time with Hertz is the takeaway with this one. I already have a rental scheduled for next weekend too so we'll see if I'll have to cancel that one. Oh and the center console in here is nasty

We booked a Tesla Y a little over two weeks in advance.Drove forty-five minutes and they have none available. No email or call in advance so we could adjust our rental or try a different company. So they let us show up and said oh well this is what we have. Wouldnt or couldnt offer us an SUV of any sorts. Just said call another hertz and they can figure it out. Dont call them on the phone because theyre no help as well. I would rather ride my bike 1,000 miles before I go through them again.

Through 5 visits to this hertz one thing has been constant. They are either wildly understaffed or everyone is on break hiding in the back. Your will have to wait a half hour just to ask a question and don't try calling as your just put on hold and ignored.
