Do you hate your parents for what they did to you in 2nd grade? Do you want your mom and dad to sit in soiled diapers all day? How about them not being bathed for 2-3days at a time? Do you hate them enough to not give af if they fall and lay there for 30 minutes to an hour bc stay is so busy and understaffed? It's that a yes? Good! this is the place! As an added bonus and never for a limited time as it's interesting in their DNA you get FREE RACISM FOLKS! THAT'S RIGHT! FREE RACISM.

My parents and their dog moved in last month for memory care. They moved from independent care so it is a huge adjustment. The staff is so helpful allowing them to adjust to assisted care living. Everyone is very caring and supportive.

Brookdale Briargate is a haven for my mother and her little dog. The outdoor courtyard has made her feel at home doing a little gardening and birdwatching and walking her dog! She loves the food and the caring staff.

After many months of debating and researching different memory cares, we moved mom into Brookdale Briargate. Mom is later stage dementia and had been living with my husband and I for about a year. Her dementia has progressed more rapidly than we anticipated. She went from being confused, but able to take care of her own basic needs, to needing almost 24 hour care. She could not even remember where her bed was, when standing in her own room. Our hope was to see her pass away peacefully at home, but we were at a point where we could not take care of her the way she needed to be cared for. We were all unhappy, but more, mom was unhappy.
Brookdale was so very helpful from the very beginning. They explained their care philosophy, and were so very patient with my many questions.
After a few days at Brookdale, I could see a difference in mom. She is smiling, laughing. She interacts with the caregivers and the other people that live in the facility. She loves her apartment, and she smiles and talks up a storm when I visit. She isn't always able to form complete sentences, but she says things like "so kind" and "like it so much." She thinks Brookdale is a tiny town, with it's own garden. She is still confused, but the confusion is okay, as long as she is happy.
The care giving team at Brookdale go out of their way to know everyone that lives there. They are very kind and have a heart for people with this terrible disease. I could not be happier.
