I picked up my dry-cleaning from Peter Pan Cleaners on Mendocino Ave. I'm outraged. The price was about what I expected, the results, however, were not. I had three items, a down comforter, a comforter cover, and a family heirloom quilt. I brought them in to be dry-cleaned because one of our cats had pee'd on them all and I wanted to make sure to get the scent out, and it is the best method of cleaning these types of items to my knowledge. Unfortunately, the pee had also stained the quilt, right in the center. I asked if they were able to fully remove the stain on the quilt. The counter person said he didn't know. I pulled it out to examine it and the center stain was gone BUT as I was folding it to put it away, I noted that my quilt was significantly ripped on one edge. It looked like it got caught on something. When I pointed this out, the gentleman told me it came in that way. It most certainly did not! I told him that and he just kind of blew me off. I asked if they had sent it out, and he told me he washed it. I asked if it had been dry-cleaned, and he said not, he washed it. I then stated that I could have washed it myself at home, but we brought it in to be professionally dry-cleaned because it would be safer and less likely to damage. He ignored me as by then he had already finished processing my payment. Will I go back? Not a chance. I understand that things get damaged. I am completely unsure as to what method was used to clean this item; he tried to put the damage on us (really, then why wouldn't you note that on the tag!) or acknowledge it when you took it and perhaps NOT take it; and he basically blew me off. There is no way someone could have folded this item up and bagged it without noticing the damage. It's a good thing I rarely need anything to be dry-cleaned. I'm fuming, though. Update: Upon examining the entire quilt at home I found these three white areas on the backside. The fabric is much thinner there. Whatever happened ate through the fabric, which contributed or caused the rips on two of these white areas. These white areas were not there when it was brought in. The entire back was the off-white antiqued colour. Services: General bedding cleaning, Special care fabric cleaning, Comforter cleaning
