Meridian at Midtown Apartments

The place looks nice dont get me wrong but the security team is just horrible went to visit and was immediately profiled for hanging out in my car one thing is to do ur job and observe and report another is to walk up knock on my car window with ur flash light and try to interrogate me and anyone in my vehicle as to what we are doing or waiting for. Was highly considering moving in until I had this experience. Security team is worse than top-flight

The apartments are nice as far as the apartment itself and amenities but the security is outrageous coming and knocking on the door at 11pm at night completely inappropriate waking my kids up to tell us someone complained we are smoking when everyone in my house is trying to sleep. This isnt the first time it has happened either! The office is all online or over the phone and they never get back to you. I wouldnt really recommend this property the way its ran.

They are a horrible service. They wouldnt leave us alone after we were interviewed in, and consistently checked in for no reason. I wouldnt suggest this for first time renters

UPDATE I've been a resident here since the beginning - 2014. The 2nd owner, Essex is a large conglomerate. Since the pandemic, All communications are telephone voice mail, text, or email. You can also make an appointment to speak to an Essex Team member. Since NOVEMBER 2024 we have a new Property Manager who is dedicated to serving the community; recent Improvements* We have New Carpet on every floor, new paint on every floor. *Maintenance requests are promptly addressed. Meridian at Midtown is a great location for Public Transportation, grocery shopping, drug store, a restaurant *The Breakfast Club* is downstairs, Chase Bank and parking garage which Security Guards are not onsite consistantly (although I see one or two every so often patrolling, who are actually 'working') Recently, restricted Access has been improved. Meridian at Midtown borders Downtown San Jose. Unhoused individuals in the area have not been a problem yet although increasing. Rent is $$$ but in the range of the housing market in San Jose. Utilities are not included in the base rent and has been unfortunately increasing monthly. Overall I am pleased with my home here, definitely since recent improvements have been made.
