Jason Solomon, MD

I recently saw Dr. Solomon for an injury to my wrist. I had been through 5 different doctors, 24 physical therapy sessions, acupuncture, occupational therapy, and finally to Dr. Solomon. On my initial visit he went over my MRI results and explained to me that surgery may only help 50 percent of the time in my case. He was not trying to rush me into surgery at all and was quite direct about the potential outcomes, which I like. Some reviews on here state his lack of bedside manner but I think they are confusing his directness for rudeness. I feel confident that I finally found a doctor that can help my wrist get back to normal.

My son fell skateboarding in 2020 during covid and broke his wrist. He went to the urgent care and they told him nothing was wrong. It hurt for a year until dr solomon found a broken scaphoid bone in his wrist. he did a surgery to repair the bone and my sons wrist doesnt hurt anymore. thanks again

I'm honestly shocked to see he has anything below 5 stars. I can't remember how many doctors I went to with pain in both my hands, only to be turned away because I was "too young" to be experiencing this pain. I was finally seen by an amazing doctor (Dr. Ronny Ghazal) who referred me to Dr. Solomon. Dr. Solomon took the time to make sure all the possible testing that could be done, was. He went over my options with me and advised me on what would be best. The day of my 2nd surgery (and recently having lost my mother) I was having a panic attack and he rushed by to give some words of support and remind me everything went okay the first time and would be okay again. I healed from both carpal tunnel surgeries amazingly, a slightly visible scar is the only thing I have left. I'm on my way to finally going to baking school and it's because Dr. Solomon gave me the benefit of the doubt, something no one else really did.

You are correct, you are not my surgeon, nor the patient. You are in fact an On-call surgeon. There was many alternatives, even non-pharmaceutical suggestion to advise a colleague patient. Unfortunately, you insisted to reply short answer, unhelpful and lack the compassion you praise on yourself about. It may have been because it was late or other peronal matters that may have impaired your therapeutic skills to speak to people who recently came out of surgery, having a allergic reaction and in pain. This is my personal opinion and impression to relay this. I wish you the best and thank you for your response. I have already postes a thorough explanation of the issue on another review platform.
