Madera Apartments

The location is excellent, the rooms are beautiful, and the facilities are magnificent. But in my opinion, what sets Madera apart is the team. The entire team at Madera goes above and beyond to make people feel welcome and heard. I'm so grateful for the ways in which they've gone out of their way to improve the accessibility of my experience. Thank you for making Madera truly feel like home!

Ive lived here for about 3 months and I am very happy with the place overall. The training will be a little bit noisy but the location with the farmers market right across the street on Sundays and being in the midst of downtown Mountain View as well as the amenities are top notch. The staff are also extremely diligent, and careful. For example, they did a very good job of cleaning the leaves out of the pool shortly after they had fallen in.

I had a really wonderful experience living at Madera. Here are a few specific reasons why: (1) All the staff (Home Base, leasing office) were always friendly and pleasant to work with. Even maintenance work tickets got actioned quickly. (2) Location is fantastic. Super easy to stroll to Castro for a drink, meal, or coffee. (3) Grounds, including pool area / hot tub were always immaculate and in great shape. Things to consider: (1) Train noise - yes, it's loud, but I bought a $15 white noise machine which worked for me. (2) Check out the rooftop deck - I discovered that too late (3) Farmers Market across the street on Sundays is AWESOME. (4) Bedrooms are dark (no overhead light) - bring a floor lamp (5) Walk along the palm tree lined path on Bush St - it's beautiful.

I'm posting my previous review here again since the previous one didn't show. I give five stars for the apartments and location, repair people, 2 stars for others. Good: facility is modern, safe environment, clean, convenient location, friendly repair workers Bad: 1. They haven't refund a deposit of more than $4000 after 3 months. When communicating multiple times with Greig (he is issuing the refund), we were either ignored, or it took many days to hear back, telling us they would check but with no follow-up. 2. The paint and carpet were perfectly fine upon move-out but we were charged ~$250 for it. Luckily we have made a video when moving out. Repair workers generally respond fast and are good at their work.
