WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!!! THEY DO ILLEGAL THINGS AND THEN LIE ABOUT IT EVEN IF YOU HAVE PROOF. THE MANAGEMENT HAS NO IDEA WHAT THE CITY LAWS AND ORDINANCES ARE EITHER & THEY DON'T CARE & JUST DO WHATEVER THEY WANT. THERE ARE ABUSIVE MEN LIVING THERE ALSO & THEY DO NOTHING, EVEN KNOWING POLICE WERE CALLED! I'D RECOMMEND YOU STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HELL HOLE.

I moved here because it was significantly cheaper (in terms of $ per sqft per mo). We had a spacious 1-bed plan (bigger than regular 1-bed units) and it had a window AC for the bedroom. Pros - 1. Price. However, market might fluctuate so do your own research. 2. 6-mo lease option with no additional charge compared to the regular 12-mo lease. 3. Moving in and moving out had been smooth. No surprise charges at move-out time, only some $100+ cleaning cost. 4. Work orders were usually handled with in a business day. 5. Small community room + pool. However, I never used those due to the pandemic. Cons - 1. Caltrain. It is like less than 200 ft distance to the rails and the last train is at approx. 1:00 am. Double-layered glass windows were not enough to block the noise since the whole building shaked slightly when the train passed. You might get used to it, or you might not. 2. Poor infrastructure. I had at least 6 power outages during my 1-year term and 3 of them were longer than 1 hr. Tap water always started with light rusty brown color, and then they decided to clean the main supply pipes, which took 2 mo and every week of those they shut down water for that for 1 or 2 days 9 am to 5 pm (about 6 times total in the 2 mo). It was terrible since I was working from home. 3. Building manager left during my stay, and until I moved out, it was still remotely managed by its sister community's building manager. 4. Due to how it appeared on Google Maps, some delivery drivers could not find the gate which made the final delivery communication difficult occasionally. If the community got a new manager this person should consider fixing this with Google... 5. Bedroom AC was pretty small and had no effect on the living room space due to the size and floor plan shape. I had to buy a portable unit for the living room, otherwise the summer days were not tolerable. 6. Found a few spiders occasionally. Not a big deal for me but FYI. 7. Parking lot was not secured. 8. Boring neighborhood. View of nearby community, parking lot, roads, road bridges, factory (?), Caltrain, far-away mountains with wildfire... That was about it. 9. All units doors open to the indoors hallway. Once, some neighbor on the same floor but on the other end of the building fried something and the entire floor was filled up with smoke and smell.

Almost all of the reviews for this place are old. Consider this place carefully. Too many issues that I'll describe below. The management isn't going to accommodate you in a best way after you signed the lease. The location is great and the neighborhood is good, but inside the building is another story. The property has a paper-thin walls, you can hear neighbors walking in adjacent units. The noise from the faucets is so loud that might wake you up when people take showers at night.A constant smell of cooking food is everywhere, in halls, in the unit and it's coming from other tenants prepping their food. If the unit is facing the parking lot, you might also get a smell of weed or cigarettes. Some people "relax" in the back of a parking lot daily, and it's getting to a building. These are only minor things that some could find annoying. But it's hard to not notice a trash smell inside the building in the summer time. Don't rent units close to a trash disposal or elevators (too noisy). Avoid units facing an adjacent lumber store. It causes a lot of mill dust from its operations. If your unit doesn't have an AC, ask for one. It gets too hot in summer, with the AC always on it gets to 80+ degrees inside small units. Anything facing the pool is right under the sun path. The good part is that you'll get a ton of sunlight, and it's constantly bright in rooms in winter times. All in all, beware. There are better places in this neighborhood. Best of luck finding one that'll fit you.- Han Juanxiu

I am a previous resident and I had lived in this apartment for 2.3 years (2018 - 2020). I realized how great this apartment was after I moved to other apartment on the same street. [Pros] -. Gated building -. Quiet The wall is not too thin so I have never heard anything from my next door neighbor (I am suffering in my current place - not this apartment). No loud slamming door noise even though I lived at right next to the exit. -. Management The manager is not always in the office, but I didn't have any issue that I needed to call/meet her. Email response was reasonably quick. They have maintenance portal and the response for maintenance is quick. -. Location Not to mention, location is nice - close to San Antonio shopping center, Walmart, Target, Safeway in a walk distance. Since it is located at the end of the street, it is a quiet place and street parking (for visitors) are easy. -. Utility Compared to other similar apartments, utility wasn't that high. (Again, I realized this after I moved to other apartment that has similar rent fee) [Cons] -. There is an A/C and heater - but not a central A/C or heater. A/C is attached to the window, and heater is a radiator, which is not that efficient. But, with this rent fee, it makes sense. If you find other apartments that have similar rent fee as this (in this area) & they have a central system, the utility fee will be skyrocketing, not as efficient as in a new building. If the heater runs by gas, it would cost much less, but it runs by electricity, this may cause more your PG&E cost. But utility fee itself is not that much. -. Caltrain noise This apartment is close to Caltrain railway, so there is Caltrain noise. If you are very sensitive to it, this is not your place. I could hear it, but that was not a big problem for me. (I would choose this noise rather than neighbor noise if I had to choose either one.) They kept replacing old windows with an upgraded windows that can block the noise (mine was before replacing). [Summary] This is an affordable apartment. It doesn't seem that many residents are moving in and out. I could see same neighbors (at least) during my stay. No critical issue with a reasonable price in this location.
