The guy that represent Merrill lynch is very rude and inconsiderate. I think his name is Adam. I schedules an appointment with him from weeks ahead, took time off from work and went to my appointment and they told me he is on vacation!!! Didnt even bother to let me know he is not available. Made another appointment with him, left work to be there on time and waited 45min past my appointment time, did not show up!!! No one even apologized. They are lucky they have UCLA student and that keep them busy otherwise horrible experience.

The ATM took my cash deposit of 72 dollars. The ATM registered an error and kept my money and kept my card. The people in the branch were unhelpful to the point of being rude. I could only resolve it, so they said, by calling the phone number on the error notice printed out by the ATM. It took me an hour and a half to go through the process. During that time other people were coming in to complain about their cards being kept by the Bank of America ATMs. The customers were all very polite and the Bank of America staff was rude and dismissive to them. Bank of America promised to resolve the issue in 48 hours. I thought that this was ridiculous. I had a similar problem with Chase, and they credited my account immediately for a much larger amount. It is now Friday, three days since Bank of America stole my $72. It might not seem important but here is how it has affected me. While trying to resolve this I missed a very important appointment at the VA Hospital in West Los Angeles. (I am a disabled US Army veteran with a 100% service connected disability.) I was not able to see my dentist for which I needed $50. I had not eaten so I had no midday meal. I had to ask my son and a high school friend to send me money via Zelle, because I could not drive home because I needed to buy gas. Here is the thing: I am a former commercial banker. Among others I worked as the assistant to the Chief Credit Officer of Security Pacific Financial Services in the 1980s. My mom worked for Bank of America for many years, into the 1990s, lastly as a supervisor of ATM services. I have a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting. I have worked for many years as an internal bank auditor as well as trading other auditors. ATMs are like like any retail operation. They need to be closed out and reconciled daily. For some reason, beyond my comprehension, Bank of America is not able to perform this simple and necessary function. I opened my first account at Bank of America, at their old branch on Vermont near Beverly, as a 9 year old, with my mothers help back in 1966. I am now ready to ease out of this fifty-seven year relationship with B of A as soon as possible. Unfortunately, my Social Security Disability is direct deposited to this account. So it will take a while. I am going to find a nice local credit union that will treat me right. I generally do not post negative reviews to google maps, yet here we are. My general advice to you is to also vote with your feet and find a nice local credit union. My contributions to Google Maps have been significant up to now, with over sixty one million views of my contributions. I havent really used Facebook much in the past six years, but Intend to use that platform to further publicize this bad corporate behavior on the part of Bank of America.
